Beginning with the highly destabilising, but very intimate experience of repeatedly being mistaken for someone else—someone whose beliefs are, in most respects, fundamentally different to Klein’s—it expands into a penetrating analysis of the “Mirror World”—that place populated with rightwing agitators, conspiracy theorists, anti-vaxxers, and wellness influencers which, if you squint just the right amount, can end up looking not too dissimilar to your everyday reality.
