Sri Chinmoy: Az emberi életben a kompromisszum jó dolog. De a spirituális életben a kompromisszum rossz dolog. A kompromisszum ötven százalékban sötétség és ötven százalékban fény, félig tudatlanság, félig bölcsesség-fény. Elkerülheted a kompromisszumot pusztán azzal, hogy úgy érzed, nem tudsz spiritualitás nélkül élni. Mi a spiritualitás? Tudatos önátadás a Legfelsőbbnek, állandó növekedés a legfelsőbb Valóságba.

Question: How can we avoid compromising in the ordinary human life?

Sri Chinmoy: In the human life compromise is a good thing. But in the spiritual life, compromise is a bad thing. Compromise is fifty per cent darkness and fifty per cent light, half ignorance, half wisdom-light. You can avoid compromise just by feeling that you cannot live without spirituality. What is spirituality? It is conscious self-giving to the Supreme, constant growing into the supreme Reality.

Question: Why am I disappointed with my human nature and other people’s human nature?

Sri Chinmoy: If you are disappointed in someone, feel that they may also notice imperfections, limitations and other undivine qualities in you. Whether they are disappointed in you or not, if you are disappointed, feel that they may also notice these undivine qualities in you. You cannot be disappointed with them, because they also have the right to be disappointed with you. When you see imperfections and shortcomings in others, show your utmost compassion, for these imperfections have to be removed from those individuals. By being disappointed, you don’t change someone’s nature. But God is concerned with your prayer, with your spiritual life and with your good will. If you are concerned about someone, then eventually you will add to their inborn aspiration, because they are also trying to get rid of those undivine forces.

So you add to their inner cry, to their capacity. Although they have imperfections, they also have an inner cry, which increases when you offer your concern. But if you are disappointed with them, at that time you are separating your existence from theirs. When you expect something from someone else, you have a superior feeling. But do not expect anything from anyone. Only take the person for what he has or what he is and then feel your oneness with that person, your concern for him. In that way, you can illumine a person and while that person is being illumined, you will derive satisfaction. The real in you will never be satisfied when someone is imperfect. Only when everyone is perfect will you be satisfied, and this feeling of oneness is nothing short of your enlarged, expanded existence.

Kedveseim, ti mindannyian a tanítványaim vagytok, így biztos vagyok benne, hogy láttok valamit a Transzcendentális Képemben. Tartsd ezt életed egyetlen céljának: belenőni a Transzcendentális Tudatomba. Ez az egyetlen célotok, a legmagasabb Célnál is magasabb. Felejtsétek el az összes alacsonyabb rendű célt. Kijelenthetitek: „Csak egy Célom van, és ez a Gurum legmagasabb Transzcendentális Tudata. Erre törekszem, és ez a Gurum reménye. A Gurumnak rendíthetetlen hite van bennem, és megígérte nekem, hogy egy napon képes leszek belenőni az ő abszolút legmagasabb Transzcendentális Tudatába.”

Dear ones, you are all my disciples, so I am sure you see something inside my Transcendental Photograph. If I have left behind anything that Mother Earth will cherish throughout Eternity, then it is my Transcendental Photograph that will remain for Mother Earth. Forgive me for bragging; you are accustomed to my bragging. Forgive me to say that this photograph is not only humanity’s peerless treasure, it is Divinity’s treasure as well. My Transcendental Photograph is both humanity’s peerless treasure and Divinity’s treasure.

It is not a matter of thinking, it is not a matter of feeling; it is a matter of becoming. I hope that each and every disciple of mine wants to become my Transcendental Consciousness. That is my only hope.

Today I hope, and one day I will be able to dare to promise. I hope and I shall promise, that one day you will definitely grow into my Transcendental Consciousness. You will do it, either tomorrow or in the distant future, or in one of your future incarnations.

I may go perhaps one step ahead. If you become my Transcendental Consciousness, then there is no one, there is nothing, either in Heaven or on earth, that will not cherish your divinity. Your divinity will be cherished by the Absolute Highest. Perhaps my Transcendental Consciousness embodies the Highest.

Keep this as the only goal in your life: to grow into my Transcendental Consciousness. That is your only goal, your higher than the highest Goal. Forget about all the lesser goals. You can proclaim, “I have only one Goal, and that is my Guru’s highest Transcendental Consciousness. This is what I am aiming at, and this is my Guru’s hope. My Guru has implicit faith in me and he has promised to me that one day I will be able to grow into that absolutely highest Transcendental Consciousness of his.”

Keep this hope; keep this promise. Your hope will be fulfilled. Your promise will be fulfilled by the Absolute Supreme Himself.
