    Welcome to potions 101! Casey, Gaby and Paige are today's teachers. Today, we'll talk about potions class in Hogwarts, Snape as a teacher, and cover the topic of cauldrons. We know you want to know all about cauldrons. Questions we'll cover include wondering why students use these cauldrons as backpacks to carry their books around school. Have you ever heard of a soup purse? What what potions class be like and what kind of cauldron would we use? Which Mickey Mouse Clubhouse character would commit tax fraud? Would you rather have Daffy Duck or Donald Duck act as your lawyer in a court of law? Would you want to teach potions? And for some reason we extensively talk about the topic of hunting and our opinions on it. We hope you learn something!

    This week, we wanted to take the time in a full episode to discuss JK Rowling's transphobic tweet made in December. We've never discussed this, because we wanted to be a light-hearted escape for our listeners. But not using our platform to support the trans and lgbtqia community, would simply be wrong. Trans rights are human rights. We support you. The Harry Potter fandom is so loving because of the people within in that made it that way. We're gonna stand up, and keep it that way.     Happy New Year! After a holiday break, we hags are back and ready to kick start 2020 with an episode all about pets. Not just regular pets, but magical pets. We cover what animals are allowed at Hogwarts and what sort of creatures wizards keep as companions. Would you want a three headed snake welcoming you home? Or how about a pygmy puff to eat your stubborn boogers? We also ponder the muggle pets that wizards would just not understand (looking at you, hermit crabs). And some people get really attached to their pet fishes, I guess.

  • 240: The Deep Dark Forbidden Black Woods Forest Trees
    Centaurs, and thestrals, and spiders oh my! This week we wander through the Forbidden Forest. One of Harry's favorite places, because even though it's very dangerous and sort of off limits, he's always in there. There's been some pretty big Forbidden Forest moments: Resurrection Stones, murder, and plot twists (no spoilers). And there are those gigantic spiders.
