Natural Disasters

In the first episode of Drunk Dial-- Adam and MAR's new hotline for listener questions-- King of Biodynamics Rudolf Steiner leaves a message from the grave to see what California white wines he should be drinking and they answer questions about volatile acidity, why yeast inoculation is such a big part of natural wine, what pairs with Frito Pies and more.

Have a question for Adam and MAR? Drunk Dial them! Call 213-245-1503, leave them a message about wine or literally whatever and they'll get back to you in the next installment of Drunk Dial.

Adam & MAR attempt Zoom technology with winemaker James Jelks while drinking Florèz Wines’ “Moonmilk,” chat about Chardonnay, Santa Cruz wines and god knows what else.

We’re doing our best so thanks for tuning in during this insane time.

MAR has her first glass of wine, Kindeli's "Otoño", in almost a month since she's been quarantined on quarantine with Shingles and cathes up with her bff Adam.

This is a first. With Marissa out sick Adam does a solo ep. He interviews Vinny Eng, the sommelier, political activist, writer, and all around great person. They talk about the restaurant industry and how COVID-19 is probably going to change it forever.

MAR & Adam contemplate what if this was the last episode of the podcast? Ever?! And if it was, what are the big takeaways from the pod? Please note this episode was recorded before the pandemic reached its new heights. This is a serious matter and despite our love of laughing, we know coronavirus is no joke.

Adam and MAR talk about the region of Beaujolais, why they put it on merch, and also get into politics and coronavirus because why the hell not considering the world might end? JK... sorta.

MAR and Adam talk to Patrick Cappiello of Monte Rio wines

The second part of our pairings episode from last week, which turned out to be disastrous in a couple ways.

Adam and listeners have been wanting a pairing episode since ND started in 2018. MAR has always been skeptical but WE'RE DOING IT! Tune in today for part one, where Adam and MAR test four different wines with seven different snacks. Tune in next week to hear part two, where Adam and MAR discuss pairing in general and junk food pairings, MAR's least favorite thing aside from the term "orange wine."

MAR and Adam discuss the social media epidemic in natural wine. Is it good, bad... Marissa's fault?
