Neometals is an ASX-listed innovative project developer based out of Australia. The company is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: NMT) and is developing projects in the minerals and materials required for a sustainable future.
The company currently has 4 core projects. These include a Lithium battery recycling project, a demonstration plant in Germany, a high-grade Vanadium slag project in Scandinavia where high-purity Vanadium is recovered from slags, and a residual upstream mining asset-based in Australia. These projects encompass recycling materials recovery through to production of the upstream mineral concentrates.
Neometals has been busy lately and has published a lot of press releases since the middle of May. The company recently completed a deal with a Canadian company called Stelco with an MOU towards a JV on recycling batteries. They have also recently announced that they have started the commissioning process of their showcase demonstration facility in Germany.
Further to the Palladium results at the Nickel exploration ground, Neometals has announced their intention to spin out the project to a dedicated ASX listed company. Neometals has also published resource updates for individual deposits that comprise the Mt. Edwards project. Neometals has also sold the off-take rights from the Mt. Marion Lithium Hydroxide project for A$30M.
The company has tightened up the business and the story has become simpler with projects orientated towards materials recovery and ESG and sustainability.
2022 will be a busy year for Neometals as they are looking at FIDs for their first battery recycling plant in the first half of next year. The Barrambie project will also come on stream in the first half of next year and the Vanadium recovery project by the end of 2022.
