Masters of the Universe Drone Show

To promote the upcoming Masters of the Universe live-action movie (hitting theaters in June 2026), Mattel staged an impressive, 400-drone show over the desert landscape during the second weekend of the Coachella music festival[1]. Capitalizing on the heavy traffic gridlock, the drone spectacle recreated the outlines of He-Man and Skeletor while playfully trolling drivers with cheeky messages like "HONK FOR HE-MAN" and "SHOULD HAVE LEFT EARLIER"[1].

Steven Spielberg on Trailers

Steven Spielberg has spoken out about modern movie trailers, strongly arguing that studios and filmmakers should never include footage from a film's third act[6]. Sharing the exclusive CinemaCon trailer for his upcoming sci-fi film Disclosure Day, Spielberg confirmed that he intentionally kept all third-act reveals out of the promotional footage[6]. He expressed frustration that modern audiences are conditioned to anticipate scenes shown in trailers rather than naturally experiencing the story, pointing out that withholding final-act footage preserves the theater experience[6].

Kathryn Newton Confirms Cassie Lang Return in Avengers: Doomsday

Kathryn Newton has officially confirmed her return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Cassie Lang[7]. Bypassing a traditional casting announcement, Marvel Studios confirmed her involvement in Avengers: Doomsday by sending the actress a cardboard box containing a tiny, movie-branded chair with her name on one side and the film's title on the other[7]. The playful "tiny chair" stunt hints that Cassie's shrinking abilities will play a role in the upcoming blockbuster[7].
