Death before the fall?  It began when Eve decided and they both ate...or did it?  It might not be that simple.  Plus, in studying, you must have learned that man is mortal, but what about animals?  If they weren't immortal, then how could creation have been a paradise?  Why do we suddenly get "permission" to eat meat after the flood of all places?  (Hint: it's not new.)  Debunking common "certainties" and giving a look at Joshua John Van Ee's disseration, Death in the Garden:  An Examinatin of Original Immortality, Vegetarianism, and Animal Peace in the Hebrew Bible and Mesopotamia.  We may not be able to find out who is right, but we can have fun thinking about it.
