The winners of the New Brunswick Book Awards were announced last night in a virtual event. The award for a book of fiction went to Sarah Xerar Murphy for her book "Itzel I: A Tlatelolco Awakening." It's set during the Mexico student movement of 1968, and Sarah was actually in Mexico at the time.
