In this week's edition, ahead of a tutorial from Steve Richardson, we bring you an interview with BCA CEO Emma Bennison, about the newly commissioned telephone system.  Emma gives us a rundown on the advantages for BCA and its members.  My thanks to Steve, for his tutorial on the use of this new phone system.

In this week's episode, we hear a repeat of a presentation given by Jenny Dawson of WA, at the Blind Citizens Australia convention in 2015.  Jenny speaks on her experience as a blind parent.  Also, some important news for blind and vision impaired Tasmanians.

In this week's programme, we discuss a joint statement to government, issued by Vision Australia and co-signed by 24 other disability organisations, including BCA.  This statement calls for all   Information Technology used in government departments to be accessible to all people with disabilities.  The staggering rate of unemployment of blind and vision impaired people is shameful, and this is one measure which may mitigate that to some extent.  We hear from Kate Begley, Government Relations and policy advisor with Vision Australia.

In this week's programme, we replay the interview with Troy Gladwell, who attended the Enchanted Hills Summer Camp in 2017.  BCA is calling for expressions of interest for six people between the ages of 18-20 to attend the Teens camp this year.  Troy tells us of his experience attending as a camp counsellor.  Also, some news for ACT residents.
