The New Jersey Devils did everything right, except win the game. They lost to the Detroit Red Wings 5-3 in the Motor City. Nico Hischier tried his best to carry the team on his back but ultimately came up short. There was a lot of physicality in the third period and some questionable calls made by the referees. Those decisions might've costed the Devils.
