Not serving in any capacity, Pastor Dale says, is unbiblical, because God has called every believer to serve. In this Church 101 message he gives an overview of what serving looks like and why God blesses those who serve.
1. You serve God by doing what he says, with a spirit of excellence in everything you do.
2. Serve God in your daily living by getting involved in your community and serving other people.
3. Serve God in his church, using the spiritual gifts he has given you.
Jesus spoke about money more than almost any other subject, and many Christians struggle to give. In this Church 101 message during the 21 days of seeking the Lord, Pastor Dale shows that the Bible's reasons for not giving come down to trust and honor.
1. We don't give because we don't trust God. If we trust him with our problems, we can trust him with our finances.
2. We don't give because we don't honor God. Giving tells God, "I trust you and you are Lord of my life."

A church that looks a lot like the world needs a spiritual awakening. In week two of Church 101, Pastor Dale teaches why fasting belongs alongside prayer in a believer's life and calls the church to seven days of prayer and fasting.
1. Fasting is a sign of sincere repentance.
2. Fasting is a sign of humility before God.
3. Fasting is part of our devotion to God.
4. Fasting is a way to seek God's favor.
Prayer is a gift from God, but it does not come naturally. In week one of Church 101, which kicks off 21 Days of Seeking the Lord, Pastor Dale teaches three principles from Matthew 6 and the rest of Scripture to strengthen our prayer lives.
1. Pray about everything. Prayer is a dialogue where we talk to God and listen to Him.
2. Devote yourself to prayer. Make it a priority, and pray before decisions, in temptation and in hardship.
3. Pray for others more than you pray for yourself.
Everyone says they want peace, in their hearts, homes and jobs. In the final week of Prince of Peace, Pastor Dale shows that real peace comes from Jesus, who governs and masters our welfare.
1. Jesus gives us peace with God, through faith in what He did on the cross.
2. Jesus gives us peace in all our troubles, as we pray and thank God instead of worrying.
3. Jesus gives us peace in our families, which depends on building each other up and being humble and patient.
4. Jesus gives us a peace that rules our hearts as we follow the Holy Spirit and God's Word.
5. Jesus gives us eternal peace, based on what He did and what we believe.
Isaiah called the coming child the Everlasting Father, and Pastor Dale explains what that name means. In week three of Prince of Peace, he shows that Jesus is the One who starts things and carries them to completion in our lives.
1. Jesus is the Everlasting Father of creation: He is the builder and architect, and He can build your life over.
2. Jesus is the Everlasting Father of the resurrection: He makes us stand again, and one day we will rise to be with Him.
3. Jesus is the Everlasting Father of salvation: He rescues, restores and delivers, and the new birth is the Holy Spirit's work.
Isaiah said the child to be born would be called Mighty God. In week two of Prince of Peace, Pastor Dale shows why Jesus is the Mighty God and what that means for every situation we face.
1. Jesus is the Mighty God because He is God.
2. He is omnipotent: He has all power, even over storms, sickness and death.
3. He is omniscient: He knows our thoughts and our future, and He has a plan for each of us.
4. He is omnipresent: He is with us everywhere and never leaves us.
Isaiah wrote 700 years before Jesus was born that He would be called Wonderful Counselor. In week one of Prince of Peace, Pastor Dale looks at the names of Jesus and shows that the Wonderful Counselor wants to guide our lives every day.
1. In weakness there is strength. God uses weak people and His power works best when we admit our weakness.
2. In surrender there is victory. When we give our lives to Jesus, He can do more with them than we can.
3. In death there is life. When we die to self and follow Him, we find true life.
