  • Leviticus

Exodus was about getting Israel out of Egypt; Leviticus is about getting Egypt out of Israel. In this week of Binge the Bible, Pastor Dale shows how this book of sacrifice and holiness points to Jesus.

    1. Unholy people get into God's presence through a sacrifice, and Jesus is that sacrifice.

    2. We need a high priest to represent us before God, and Jesus is our high priest.

    3. It is impossible to keep God's law. We are made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ.

  • Exodus

When Israel went to Egypt in a season of famine, it turned into their prison, and many of us have turned to something for a season that now holds us captive. In this week of Binge the Bible, Pastor Cory walks through Exodus: leaving Egypt, Mount Sinai, and the tabernacle.

    1. Leaving Egypt (chapters 1-18): God delivers his people.

    2. Mount Sinai (chapters 19-24): God wants all of you, both your relationship with him and your relationships with others.

    3. The tabernacle (chapters 25-40): God wants to live among his people, and he must be first.

  • Genesis

Binge the Bible covers the whole Bible like a streaming series, and the first season looks at the five books of the Torah. Pastor Cory gives a 30,000-foot view of Genesis in three sections: creation, covenant, and captivity.

    1. Creation (chapters 1-11): God is first.

    2. Covenant (chapters 12-36): God doesn't lie. He keeps his promises, even when it takes a hundred years.

    3. Captivity (chapters 37-50): even in a pit or a prison, the Lord is still with us.

  • Bible Basics

In 2018 a magazine listed the Bible among classic books not worth reading, yet it is God's written word to the world. In this opening message of Binge the Bible, Pastor Dale lays the foundation by asking whether the Bible can be trusted.

    1. The Bible is God's inspired word. The Holy Spirit is the author, and about forty men wrote it over 1,500 years.

    2. The Bible is reliable. Fulfilled prophecy proves it right every time.

    3. The Bible is relevant. It teaches us, corrects us, and equips us for every good work.

  • Agape Love

Agape is the unconditional, sacrificial love of God and the foundation the other loves rest on. In the final week of the LOVE series, Pastor Dale shows that agape is a choice of the will, not a feeling, and that it is impossible without God.

    1. Agape love loves sacrificially, choosing to forgive and not retaliate.

    2. Agape love loves even when the love is not returned.

    3. Agape love loves unconditionally, just as Christ loved us while we were still sinners.

  • Phileo Love

Phileo is brotherly love, the love between close friends, and its opposite is a love driven by fear and control. In week three of the LOVE series, Pastor Dale calls us to tear down the walls we build and invest in the people God has placed around us.

    1. Phileo love requires investment and interaction with other people.

    2. Phileo love helps others in times of trouble, hating the sin but loving the person.

    3. Phileo love inspires others to honor God and helps their faith grow.

    4. Phileo love requires God's involvement. We cannot do it on our own.

  • Storge Love

Storge is the natural affection between family members, both our biological family and the family of God. In week two of the LOVE series, Pastor Dale explains why this love is perverted by sin unless the Holy Spirit perfects it.

    1. Storge love is a fruit of the Spirit. We cannot manufacture it on our own.

    2. Storge love is essential in the church, where we are to honor and encourage one another.

    3. Storge love moves us to serve and support others.

    4. Storge love expresses our love for God and for other people.

  • Eros Love

The English word love covers a lot of ground, but the Greek language uses four words, and God has set boundaries for each. In week one of the LOVE series, Pastor Dale teaches on eros love, a pure gift from God meant for marriage.

    1. Let eros love sleep until you are married, and do not cross over into the world's counterfeit.

    2. Only the Holy Spirit can keep eros love in check. Human effort accomplishes nothing.

    3. Let eros love awaken in marriage, where it produces unity and is meant to be selfless.

  • True Worship

Worship is more than singing for twenty minutes on Sunday. It is ascribing worth to God with all of our lives. In the final message of Church 101, Pastor Cory asks three simple questions about true worship.

    1. Who do you worship? Anything we put between ourselves and God, even good things, can become an idol.

    2. How do you worship? True worship is a living and holy sacrifice, offered even when we don't feel like it.

    3. Why do you worship? Because while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

  • Inviting

Most people who come to church come because a friend or relative invited them, yet only a small percentage of churchgoers invite someone who is unchurched. In this Church 101 message, Pastor Cory challenges us to invite someone to a "Sit With Me" Sunday.

    1. We invite to introduce people to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

    2. We invite to build the kingdom of God.

    3. We invite because it is our responsibility. It is a mandate, not an option.
