Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee continues to be on life support system since Wednesday and as per hospital sources at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences his condition “is very critical”. A press release from the AIIMS on Thursday morning said: “Former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s condition continues to be the same. He is critical and is on life support systems.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the AIIMS on Wednesday evening to enquire about the condition of Vajpayee. Apart from PM Modi the former prime minister manmohan singh and other political leaders too had visited. The value of rupee against the US dollar had depreciated below 70 rupees per dollar mark on Tuesday, (data of rupee) touching a historic all-time low. The analysts suggest that the rupee might further depreciate below the 71 mark. With this, the fear of an increase in prices of consumer goods would spread large over the country. Government data on Monday showed that the retail inflation quickened to 4.17 percent in July from a year earlier, slower than the 4.5 percent. And the same day rupee had witnessed a record low of 69.9 against the dollar, keeping its position as Asia’s worst-performing currency this year. And if we compare the performance of rupee since 2014 to the current financial year, we see a massive fall in its value.It was in the years of 2013 and 2014 that the now prime Minister Narendra Modi made falling price of rupee as the center piece of his campaign. where he used it to accuse the then prime minister Manmohan Singh implicating that he was weak PM of our country.From falling value rupees to increase in unemployment to farmer's suicide to black money menace to rape, corruption, terror inflitration..he tried to politizcise everything but has ended up solving nothing. Former Lok Sabha speaker and veteran CPI(M) leader Somnath Chatterjee on 13 August passed away in Kolkatta at the age of 89. Somnath Chatterjee was the speaker of Lok Sabha from 2004 to 2009 during the UPA1 government. Somnath Chatterjee was associated with the Communist Party of India(Marxist) and was served as the Member of Lok Sabha for 10 terms. Somnath Chatterjee also won the outstanding Parliamentarian award in the year 1996. Somnath Chatterjee was expelled from CPI(M) after he refused to resign from the post of speaker in 2008 when his party withdrew its support from the UPA-1 government during the Indo-American Nuclear deal. Former DMK patriarch and five time chief minister of Tamil Nadu M Karunanidhi took his last breathe on tuesday evening after fighting a prolonged battle with illness. The 'Kalaignar' holds a record for the longest serving president of a political party, where he served for almost 50 years. He will be buried at Chennai's Marina Beach, where three other former chief ministers including J Jayalalithaa have memorials. During the last stretch of his illness, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkiah Naidu and a number of political leaders across party visited him. "The Supreme Court today adjourned its hearing on Article 35A to 27 August, in the wake of protests in Jammu and Kashmir. Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra added that “it’s an issue to be decided by the Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court”. The Supreme Court was hearing a public interest litigation challenging the validity of the Article 35A. Some call Article 35A ""discriminatory"" against J&K women, because it disqualifies them from their state subject rights if they married non-permanent residents. However, in a landmark judgment in October 2002, the J&K High Court held that women married to non-permanent residents will not lose their rights. The children of such women however don't have succession rights. mean while the top court has adjourned the next hearing on 27 of august, to make a decision on the fate of special privileges of 1.25 crore people of jammu & kashmir. "The whole issue that was emerging around for last two days on who put the Aadhaar helpline number in your contact list, came to a relief late Friday night when Google, the Android operating system provider accepted that ""they"" have done it. The company in a statement said that an internal review has revealed that in 2014, the then UIDAI helpline number and the 112 distress helpline number such as police, ambulance, fire etc were coded into the SetUp wizard of the Android phones. That was later used in India and has remained there since. And before jumping on to a false conclusion about whom to blame and whom to not, ask yourself: Why did Google save the UIDAI number in your contact list in the first place? They didnt wake up one day and said ''Lets add UIDAI phone number to the Indian phones for fun''. It is a matter of concern over the safety of Aadhar database, safety about You and Me, the 1.35 billion people who's privacy is now in grave danger. And the government is doing nothing about it.
