Spooky Season is here & so is Ashleigh Bodell! Ashleigh and I met in our Podcast Course with Kacia Ghetmiri and really hit it off after the course finished. I admired her from afar initially but was constantly drawn to her vibe/energy. Ashleigh is the host of The Big Crystal Energy Podcast (give her a listen if you haven't yet!). The premise of this entire episode is talking about tools that we use for our spiritual health and growth, one of which is crystals. We don't ONLY talk about crystals though, we dive into a bunch of other topics such as spirituality and personal growth, healing the inner child, the power of intention setting, dynamics of adult female friendships, and challenges of navigating traditional religious beliefs within our personal spiritual practices. Ashleigh shares her journey of getting into Reiki practice, her aspirations for her own podcast, and her upcoming MAGICAL trip to Salem, MA. I am so excited that my listeners can finally get to know, Ashleigh, and if you are someone who gets lit up about esoteric practices, then she is your gal!

Episode #4 of the mini-series: Hilary and I do a popcorn-style Q&A session where we dive into random topics together, all on spiritual health and wellness. We start out discussing oracle cards/tarot cards, placing emphasis on the importance of intention setting and trusting your intuition when using them. We then move into discussing the significance of spirit animals and how they can be signs/messages from a Higher Power. Lastly, we end the episode on the topic of law of attraction/manifestation: the power of our thoughts, using gratitude as a tool, all to help create the reality we desire. This wraps up the mini-series and I have to say Hilary and I both thoroughly enjoyed doing this, we will definitely consider doing one again in the future. If there is ever anything specific you would like to hear an episode on, do not hesitate to reach out to me with your suggestions/ideas.

Episode #3 of the mini-series: Hilary and I dive into a fun topic known as the suppressed feminine, while also touching slightly on shadow work. Hilary shares the different feminine archetypes or faces of the feminine: medicine woman, the great mother, the mystic, the warrior, the lover, and the dark goddess. Hilary emphasizes the importance of doing shadow work to uncover and embrace the repressed parts of ourselves. Overall, the conversation hits on the need for women to step into their power and embrace their authentic selves.

Episode #2 of the mini-series: Hilary and I discuss our personal experiences with religion and our spiritual journey/practices. This isn't an episode to bash one end of the spectrum over the other, rather this is an episode to share how they can both be integrated into 1. Hilary specifically talks about how the overall goal set by God is for us as humans to embody unconditional love and compassion, which is the ultimate example set by God. Throughout our discussion we also touch on the limitations of traditional church practices and the need for more inclusivity and authentic spiritual experiences. We encourage listeners to explore their own personal beliefs and practices and work through any guilt/grief that they may be carrying, that may be associated with leaving organized religion, if that is an experience that's occurred in your own life.

I am kicking off "Spooky Season"/September with my first mini-series! I brought on Hilary Naab, a Shamanic Healer, Reiki Master, and Violet Flame Akasha Master (among other hats) to record a mini-series together on All Things Spiritual Health & Wellness. Hilary and I start by discussing the power in collaborating our services with one another to help our clients heal on a more powerful and deeper level. Hilary explains the healing benefits of Akashic Record readings. We dive into lots of topics in the beginning, one of which is the importance of rest as an entrepreneur and how allowing rest actually impacts your creativity and intuition. The real meat of the episode though, is each of our personal journeys with alcohol, and our personal decisions to give it up. We discuss the importance of living authentically and how that should not need to involve alcohol, 1) because it lowers your vibrational frequency and 2) your body and mind are negatively impacted by it. Along those lines, we talk about societal norms around alcohol and the pressure to drink in certain social settings. We share the benefits of giving up alcohol: such as gaining more time, improving relationships, and aligning with a higher vibrational frequency.

This episode had a lot of barriers to getting recorded, but we prevailed! Mercury Retrograde was a real B**** this August! Phoenix Gould, a life coach, who specializes in supporting people recovering from narcissist-induced trauma, shares her personal journey of growing up with a narcissistic mother and then later in life entering into a relationship with a narcissistic partner. She shares the challenges of trying to please others and losing oneself in the process. She talks about her transition from being a professional dancer to becoming a life coach and how her own healing journey led her to specialize in narcissism. She places an emphasis on the importance of self-love and acceptance in the healing process. Phoenix specifically shares the concept of radical self-love and how it is a powerful tool for healing oneself. Phoenix shares the importance of setting boundaries and prioritizing self-care. We specifically discuss the need to focus on healing ourselves rather than trying to change others. If you've ever been in a relationship with a narcissist, been raised by a narcissist, or dealt with a person who has narcissistic-like tendencies -- then this episode is going to benefit you!

I timed this episode just right because it's my BIRTHDAY WEEK and...I brought on my best friend, Meg Jones, for this week's collab episode!! The idea for this collab came to me in a download earlier this summer and I knew I had to act on it. I also thought it would be a fun opportunity for Meg! In this collab, we discuss maintaining a long-distance friendship, alongside other roles in our lives. We share our 15-year friendship journey, from meeting in college to navigating different life chapters. We share with you as many of our highs and lows that we can think of as well as the unique ways that we stay connected, despite the distance between us. We really encourage listeners to pour into relationships that are important to them and to be intentional about how they are maintained. We share stories of intense moments and how our friendship helped us navigate these situations. We also discuss the role of faith and spirituality and how we hold space for each other's beliefs. Overall, our friendship is characterized by mutual support, understanding, growth, and being non-judgmental.

I am SO excited about this week's new episode, as it is filled with content from my experience attending the Powerhouse Women Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. I share all my favorite moments and key takeaways with you, what I feel I all gained from the event that I am now going to be putting into action in my life and business. I also share some interesting experiences prior to the event, one of which has to do with Mercury Retrograde, which ultimately forced me to unplug for a weekend (blessing in disguise). I am extremely grateful that I trusted my gut and chose to attend this conference, as the networking itself has propelled me in ways I did not anticipate. I am extremely grateful that I had this opportunity to be around other like-minded women and speakers, I have been inspired ever since! Lastly, I am grateful for the experiences I had at the conference that validated that I was meant to be in that room. Tune-in if you want to hear more about these stories and takeaways, this is an episode you do NOT want to miss!

I knew when I started the podcast that I would eventually bring Travis Hempstead on because I was always inspired by his late wife's cancer journey and how Travis seemed to go through his own personal transformation as a result of her battle, her loss, and the building of 11:11 Event Co. Travis graciously accepted my invite to record a collab together and I am SO glad he did because he has a lot of knowledge to share! In this collab, he shares the challenges his late wife faced through her cancer journey, including navigating Western medicine and exploring integrative health approaches in the cancer world. Travis shares his story of how he started his own business, 11:11 Event Co, on top of also starting Erika's Journey Foundation to support others who are affected by cancer. Grief and loss is such a heavy topic, and Travis talks about it so eloquently. Travis discusses the challenges of being a caregiver for Erika in her final years and the impact that had on his mental/emotional well-being. He also talks about the importance of maintaining a positive outlook through his entire journey and how he found ways to keep moving forward. He shares some information about the integrative approaches that they incorporated into Erika's cancer journey and the benefits they experienced. Travis shares his plans for Erika's Journey Foundation and his desire to help others on their own cancer journey. He also briefly touches on the possibility of discussing new relationships forming after loss, this will ultimately be a Part 2 down the road with Travis because we both have a lot we want to share on that topic as well.

I feel so BLESSED to be surrounded by some AMAZING professionals/entrepreneurs who have so much knowledge on the chapter of motherhood, as I myself prepare for it! Lauren is another gem that I have had the pleasure of bonding with over the past 7 months and she is the proud owner of Millennial Mama Therapy! This episode is jam packed with some valuable information for future mom's, soon-to-be mom's, current mom's, seasoned moms, veteran mom's...you name it! We discuss the importance of finding support and connection, challenges of motherhood, postpartum anxiety/depression, resources and supports for moms. We explore the expectations faced by millennial moms during the transition to motherhood, the pressure that is put on moms, and the unrealistic standards set by social media. We debunk a few myths that are out there related to doing "all the things" as a mom. We describe the concept of matrescence, which is the identity shift that occurs when becoming a mother. There's some valuable reminders in this episode for moms that we all need to hear! Reminders like: there's no right or wrong way to be a mom, giving oneself grace, & being "good enough" versus perfect. I had so much fun recording this, despite mother nature's intervention initially! We powered through because my gut told me that Lauren's knowledge needed to be shared with my listeners!
