Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17
Synopsis: Christians often do not live their potential. One reason this happens is because they allow their past to define their present. The Bible teaches that we are new creations. It is by viewing ourselves as God sees us that we will be able to walk in our new identities more fully.

Scripture: Exodus 12:1-14
Synopsis: Obervance of the Passover and the Lord's Supper is not mere ritual. Through them we participate in and are drawn into the great story of God and His Kingdom. The meals are about remembering and see our lives subsumed in the metanarrative that gives our lives eternal significance and meaning. We are not called to merely a cerebral faith; rather, we are called to a faith that is fully embodied and grounded -- physically, in our relationships, in our history and personal stories. The historic traditions passed onto us and the action of eating, of remembering, of paricipating helps us to appropriate our faith in ways that go beyond our minds, embedding themselves insated into the fabric of our concrete lives.
