Later shares what she was up to last night and this morning, including a special interview with Mayor of Madison Satya Rhodes-Conway on what it was like helping Vice President Kamala Harris find her childhood home when she lived in Wisconsin. Kristin also shares what she is doing tonight, her scavenger hunt, and potentially meeting up with Brian for the last day.

74th Assembly District Republican candidate Scott Harbridge of Summit, Wisconsin joins the show to discuss his campaign for a new election after a ballot misprint resulted in more than 180 voters in Douglas County being unable to cast a ballot in his race. Harbridge explains how this unprecedented event needs to be rectified and what he is doing to do so.

A far-right, dark-money organization headed by political activist Charlie Kirk has set up a sweeping get-out-the-vote operation called “Turning Point Action”. The operation hopes to win Wisconsin to put former President Donald Trump back in office by targeting low prosperity voters who support Trump but rarely go to the polls. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Watchdog Columnist Daniel Bice, joins Spanning the State to break down it down.

Brian is live and solo from the studio for Day 2 of the Democratic National Convention. He opens the show talking to the Wisconsin Policy Forum about the struggles plaguing both private and public schools in Milwaukee and how it's affecting students. He also talks to Kristin about her time at DNC and the noteworthy speeches from Day one. Later he addresses election anxiety and how it's increasing as we get to November 5th. Sara Shaw and Robert Rauh of the Wisconsin Policy Forum join Spanning the State to discuss their newly released study on how both public and private schools in Milwaukee are leaving students struggling. They break down how longstanding disparities and financial burdens are playing a factor and how black students are predominately hurting the most.
