Author of the new book “Land Rich, Cash Poor: My Family's Hope and the Untold History of the Disappearing American Farmer” Brian Reisinger joins Spanning the State to further discuss his book, his focus on American Farmers who are struggling to keep their business afloat and his own experience growing up on a farm.

Brian and Kristin talk to Dr. Alcinda Flowers, Associate Medical Director at Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin about the recent blood shortage local hospitals are facing. Dr. Flowers explains how we are facing such a bad the shortage, what happens to the patients when this occurs, and what happens when blood isn’t available.
