  • Navigating Relationships: Celebrate Difference
    When did different become wrong?
We most often form relationships out of an attraction of opposites. Somehow overtime, we drift to a position where what attracted us now annoys us. Learning to celebrate differences intentionally opens our eyes to God’s gifts and blessings all around us … if we are willing.
    Speaker: Pastor Dave D'Angelo

  • Navigating Relationships: Finding Transformation
Why do the people that are supposed to love me turn out to be the ones that hurt me? How do I make sure my relationships don’t turn out to be a train wreck? Why does the same thing seem to happen over and over in my relationships?
We’ve all got questions when it comes to relationships.
We need transformation when it comes to our relationships. The transformation is not from great advice. It’s from realizing all that being a “new creation” means.

  • Breakthrough: How to posture yourself for breakthrough
In Scripture, breakthrough is not an on-demand experience. It is something the Lord does and that our posture can invite. This week we explore the various ways you can invite the Lord into your life, helping you find the breakthrough you are seeking.
    Speaker: Pastor Billy Bob White

  • Breakthrough: Obstacles to Breakthrough
Ultimately, the desire for breakthrough must lead us to seek, worship and revere the God of breakthrough, not the breakthrough itself. If we are honest, at times we either take a passive approach or a denying approach to breakthrough. This week we explore how to overcome these two approaches and find breakthrough in our lives.

  • Breakthrough: What does it mean?
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19
    • What is breakthrough?
    • What forms does a breakthrough take?
    • What are the signs I need breakthrough?
    • Is there an observable pattern in Scripture when it comes to breakthrough?
We serve the God of breakthrough, who makes a way where there is no way. Will we dare to believe for breakthrough right here, right now?

  • Transition Weekend: Commissioning new Lead Pastor Dave D'Angelo
Following a more than one year process, North Way is transitioning into its 3rd Lead Pastor in more than 40 years.
This transition is healthy and honoring. It is the product of prayerful obedience from all parties involved. Both Scott and Dave are walking in step with the Holy Spirit and confident in the call God has on their lives. Pastoral transitions are notoriously difficult and messy, and often the result of harmful behaviors and attitudes.
This transition is a result of God’s leading. No circumstances or people are forcing Scott out, and he is excited to submit to Dave’s leadership. Dave is humbly continuing the ministry established by Scott. We celebrate this transition because it is what is best for Scott, Dave, and North Way!

  • The Importance of Texting
Our world is filled with technology, awesome technology, that allows us to connect in so many ways. When it comes to the Bible, we quickly choose from thousands of apps and find what we need. However, we've lost true connection to the text. What if, in 2020, we reconnected with the original Bible?
    Speaker: Pastor Paul Hunter

  • Gifts and Presence: Finding Peace in a Season of Pace
Christmas is often a season of pace. Parties, gifts, meals, shopping, school plays pack our schedules in December. And if not, social media doesn’t let us forget it. Christmas isn’t supposed to be about pace. It’s supposed to be a season of peace. We all long for even just a measure of peace in our lives … join us as we look at the Christmas story and specifically Jesus. His peace is greater than our pace.
We don’t always know the depth and breadth of the peace (shalom) that God offers and ultimately sends to us through Jesus. This week will explore the concept of Shalom in comparison with our attempts to achieve peace, especially at Christmas.

  • We Can Do It: Invest in a Few
Following the example of Jesus, we invest in a few to impact many. We play the long game: sharing the gospel, our lives, and leadership deeply with a few.
Our strategy is multiplication, not addition. We are disciples who make disciples who make disciples. We do this by entering into relationships with people to help them trust and follow Jesus. It is through this exponential development that we co-mission with Jesus and obey His great commission.

  • We Can Do It: Value Healthy Rhythms
As leaders, we put our oxygen masks on first. We care for ourselves so we can care for others. We do what’s necessary to establish personal rhythms that allow us to be spiritually, physically, emotionally, and relationally healthy.
    Speaker: Pastor Scott Stevens
