An off-duty Alaskan Airlines pilot 'tried to shut the engines down' on flight from Everett to San Fransisco. The FBI, which was assigned the case, said no injuries were reported and "there is no continuing threat related to this incident." The Fresno Unified School District and its educators are awaiting the results of the Fresno Teachers Association strike vote. FUSD is still working to hire substitutes to cover the potentially 4,000 teachers on strike.
