On today's Season 1 Finale, we are joined by none other than Mr. Vashaad Randolph, father, entrepreneur, businessman, educated King and man of God whose life took an insane turn for the better after a video he posted, just saying what he wanted in a wife. Some called it a "Stepmama Application." Vashaad just calls it "God's Plan."
I have spent the last 9 episodes discussing my experiences as a woman, single mother, and black woman on many levels, dating and working in my purpose being the most prevalent. Today, I am picking the brain of a man, and we will discuss a mans view, and hopefully give some insight to men and women on their journey of finding true love. October 09, 2020 Realities Of Domestic Violence
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Today's episode hits home specifically to myself, and many others. I am joined by my friend and sister in spirit- Celestine Hendrix. Celestine will be celebrating her 5 year survivorsary of leaving a relationship in which she experienced domestic violence, by the hands of someone she trusted and loved. I will also share experiences of my own, in hopes of bringing continued awareness to everyone about how common domestic violence is, and what red flags and signs to look for, whether you are the "victim" or witness to someone you think may be in an unsafe situation.
The purpose is to make others aware of the things that are happening right under our noses, and how we can help, support, and BE PRESENT for our loved ones.

An all time question over the years has been: Can men and women be JUST "FRIENDS?"
I cannot answer this for everyone, I used to not think so, however when you are the "friend" that way of thinking quickly changes. Today we are discussing the 2 monumental moments in my life, that altered my friendships with these men, and what I learned about myself in the process. The 1st taught me boundaries, and the 2nd solidified those boundaries.

August 31, 2020 Truth Hurts
This week has been rough. We lost a legend, a hero, a true man of God, Chadwick Boseman who fulfilled his purpose as he was anointed too. Chadwick Boseman, did just as Malcolm X stated, "By Any Means Necessary." I wasn't sure where to go with this weeks episode, because of the sadness our community is facing, but I had to recall my purpose, and thinking of how Chadwick persevered despite his diagnosis, despite his feelings, despite what he wanted or felt like doing. RESPECT.
\\So this week, we are discussing how the roles "required" by women have changed. Some people feel the only job women are supposed to have is "get married an have kids." While that is a goal, it is NOT the only goal. We also discuss being transparent with yourself, in order to manifest your spouse (when you are ready)//

Therapy is one of those taboo topics, but it is also a topic that needs to be addressed, especially within the black community. I am an advocate for seeking professional help. Just because you seek professional help, doesn't make you psychotic. Wanting to help yourself by any means, includes your mental psyche, just as much as your emotional/physical/spiritual. How can we change the negative perceptions associated with seeking mental health help?
PTSD is not just reserved for soldiers and war heroes. Trauma comes in many forms, variations, and is allotted for anyone.
