In this week's episode, Kylie and Kara welcome their good friend, Olivia Lagunzad. Olivia is an online health and fitness coach and the owner of Livelite Fitness. Olivia and her team help all types of women at different places in their journey to reach their health and fat loss goals, but have recently honed in on being a "team by moms for moms."
As a new mom herself, Olivia chats with Kara and Kylie about her personal experiences balancing fitness and pregnancy as well as provides insight to how she coaches her clients throughout pregnancy (and beyond) as well. They discuss important nutritional changes and adjustments made for the different phases of pregnancy and postpartum, changes that can/should be made to workouts, tips for handling morning sickness, food aversions, and other pregnancy obstacles, and different ways to measure progress with health and fitness throughout your pregnancy.
One of the biggest focuses of this conversation is how, just like with health and fitness in general, every mom/mom-to-be has a different journey. No pregnancy is the same, and it is important to give yourself grace and understanding if your health and fitness journey while pregnant doesn't look the same as someone else's. Olivia opens up about what this was like for her through a challenging pregnancy, and encourages all women to just do the best they can and be kind to themselves as they go through this transformative period.
