As we enter this time of gatherings and get-togethers, we know there are certain things that we can do to prepare – to prepare our hearts and minds and souls to experience the wonder and power of the holiday/holy-day seasons we are beginning. What if what part of our calling during this time is actually to quit counter-productive and harmful habits: to stop Cold Turkey – arriving at what the Bible commends as the beautiful, contented, gratitude-filled life of faith: a life that reflects Jesus, a life that is truly life? More, we will learn how God wants to use us throughout this season to be agents of healing and hospitality – ambassadors of his Kingdom around every table at which we sit. “Quit Forgetting” Based on the scripture from Leviticus 23:39-43.
