The thief on the cross had a live-changing experience when he came face-to-face with the Lord Jesus on the cross at Calvary. He started out with his other malefactor friend, casting aspersions into the teeth of Jesus, then something happen. He got a good, long look at the "man in the middle" of his particular situation, and that led to an abrupt "parting of the ways" between himself and his friend, between his new life and his old life. My message today is a simple one, the first part of it is a reminder of the parting of the ways that took place when you got saved. That's easy to understand. The harder part is understanding that after you're saved, there needs to be another parting of the ways with what you perceive to be your time, your talent, and your treasure. All that belongs to the Lord Jesus now, He bought it when He bought you with His blood on the cross, and if you want success in your sanctification, there needs to be a parting of the ways. The degree to which you are able to do that, is the degree to which you will have a good experience at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
