One of the verses that I hear Christians quoting and posting all the time is found in Psalm 118:24 in your King James Bibles, and it is always referenced in the context of let us be glad and grateful for the Lord giving us another day of life. Another day of life is a good thing. Many preachers will use this verse to try and teach Sunday church services. Would you it surprise you to learn that this verse doctrinally is showing you the day when the Lord Jesus Christ will stomp His enemies and stain His garments with their blood?? Because that's what it's showing you. One of the reasons why so many churches are dead and lifeless, why even Baptist churches can't fill the seats anymore is because the power of the Bible has been either watered down or erased completely. Why the very idea of having a Sunday school class getting their little kids to sing with cheery smiles "This is the day, this is the day. That the Lord has made, that the Lord has made. We will rejoice, we will rejoice, And be glad in it, and be glad in it.!!" Is anyone teaching those kids, or their parents, that that day is talking about the bloodiest battle in human history, and waged by the "sweet, baby Jesus"? Today I want to put the power back into your Bible reading and increase your faith in that Book, something very much needed in these trying times in which we find ourselves.
