  • Health and Wellness from the Perspective of a High Risk OBGYN w/ Dr. Lindsay Maggio

This episode we get to hear from Dr. Lindsay Maggio as she dives into health and wellness as it relates to the trying to conceive, pregnant and postpartum! She shares how we can start to reframe the way we look at health, and tools to implement today.

Bio: Lindsay has had a passion for medicine since she was a young girl and a passion for women's health. It was not surprising to any who knew her that she would become an ob/gyn who would then specialize in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, or high risk obstetrics. She loves what she does and loves caring for women to help them have a safe and healthy pregnancy, but recently decided she needed to help them in a different capacity. After having children as a single mom by choice, and working through her own health and wellness goals, she became board certified in Obesity medicine, Lifestyle medicine, and received training on health coaching all so that she can have the type of practice that gives women the time and assistance they need to reach their health and wellness goals. In this capacity, Lindsay is able to help her patients make even more substantial health changes, which will not only impact them and help them have a healthy pregnancy, but even beyond and through motherhood.

  • Once You See It, You Can Never Unsee It w/ Jenna Wiles

This week I was able to interview my sister! I believe that every person goes through several awakenings to family patterns, cultural implications, social systems, and who you are as an individual. One of the most influential awakenings was in my early 20s and I have the privilege of being able to walk alongside my sister and witness first hand as she goes through hers.

  • Tonya’s Story on Infertility

This episode is a part of a series where I invite people on who are brave, vulnerable and willing to show up and tell their stories of hurt, pain, triumph, joy, vulnerability and everything in between. My hope is that as we share our stories it will become evident that we are all more alike than different. We all have similar shame spirals, triggers, and wounds. I hope compassion and community is built with these stories. Here is Tonya's story.

About Nurture & Be

From the publisher's feed

Nurture & Be is hosted by Brooke Ferreira, LMFT. Each week, we talk openly about the real things women carry—overwhelm, guilt, resentment, the mental load, motherhood, relationships, and the questions you’re not always saying out loud. Expect honest, unfiltered conversations that make things feel a little less heavy and a lot less lonely, and help you feel a little less alone.
