This week my guest is Kane Hibberd (PHOTOGRAPHY!), Kane came around to the new and improved Oblivious Maximus HQ to have a chat about growing up in the country, frothing on ACDC, becoming a photographer and his experiences working in the music industry. Great talk, and it's great to be back!

This week my guest is Colin Young (Twitching Tongues, God's Hate), my first return guest on this version of the podcast! Colin and I had a chat on Facetime about Twitching Tongues, Ghostbusters and I guess just growing up in general. This was a really fun conversation, and one that probably went a bit differently to what I expected, but am stoked with the outcome as always. Colin rules, so do Twitching Tongues and God's Hate, go buy both their most recent records and enjoy the podcast! Brutal!

This week my guest is Wil Wagner (The Smith Street Band), Wil came around and had a chat about growing up in a creative family, his love for Bruce Springsteen, and writing and creating music as a solo performer and with The Smith Street Band. This was a really fun chat, and was great to meet Wil properly and have a hearty discussion about music! Enjoy, BRUTAL!

This week my guest is Emily Kelly (Deathproof PR), Emily has been working in the music industry for a considerable amount of time now, and has done some really cool things with her company Deathproof PR, who we have previously had the pleasure of speaking to her co-owner, Bec Reato! I thought it would be cool to catch up with Emily and discuss her side of things and how she found herself in the industry she is currently working in, and how her interest in music initially came about! Good chat, have a suss, brutal!

It was a fun chat, and an awesome show. Check out Luca Brasi on their remaining 'Aeroplane' release shows with Endless Heights and Brawlers.

This week my guest is Alison Verhoeven (MY MUM!), I obviously speak to my Mum on a very regular basis, and although she doesn't have much to do with the music industry, she is a very interesting person who has been a huge influence and impact on my life, which is centred very heavily around music. We sat down in our hotel room on Boxing Day and had a chat about her upbringing, our family and raising me! I hope you enjoy the first episode for 2016, a lot more cool stuff to come! BRUTAL!

The first ever Live Oblivious Maximus Podcast! Recorded at The Reverence Hotel on December 27th, 2015. Guests for this podcast are Callum, Matt and Paddy, all previous guests of the normal version of the pod, and Kane, a talented photographer! We got together to talk about being creative in the music industry, over a couple beers, some good food and air conditioning on this disgustingly hot day! Thanks so much to everyone for coming out, and to The Rev for having us.
