Oblivious Maximus - Podcast

This week my guest is Ross Knight (Cosmic Psychos), I had the absolute pleasure of heading out to Ross' farm to have a chat with him in his shed, drink some beers and get a bit of an insight into one of Australia's legendary rock bands. Ross is a really interesting dude with a ton of great stories, so this was a really fun conversation to record. Enjoy!

This week my guest is Ben Searle (Kissing Booth). Ben is a good friend of mine and a budding stand up comedian - so I thought it would be cool to have a different opinion and set of experiences featured on this week's episode from the last! As you can tell we are now back on iTunes, thanks to those who put up with the delay of posting and time off!

This week my guest is Tom Whalen (Washed Up Records, Stu and Tom's Podcast). Tom has been a contributing member in a number of different ways in the Melbourne Hardcore community for a long time now, so I thought it would be cool to have him on to chat about his experiences growing up in the musical environment he continues to contribute to, and chat about everything he's been up to of late! Enjoy!

This week my guest is Bec Reato (Deathproof PR), Bec has been working in the music industry in Australia for many years now, and has found herself in a lot of different jobs at different organisations, so I thought it would be cool to have her on the podcast to have a chat about her experiences thus far! We hear about all of this, plus get visited by a dog, and talk about Boats a lot. GOOD ONE! BRUTAL.

We're back! This week my guest is Nicole Goodwin! Nicole is a really talented Photographer based in Melbourne, who has been taking photos at hardcore shows down here for the last 10 years. On top of going to every show in this city to take photos, she also runs at rad Zine called 'NRRRDS To The Front' and runs a small record label. How does she find time to do all this? Listen and find out! BRUTAL!

Keep your eyes peeled for Issue 5 of NRRRDS coming soon, with a little interview with me in it, about this podcast! How good? Heaps.

CROSSOVER PODCAST BRUTALITY! This week is a special mix up of the podcast, with my friend David James Young! Dave has his own podcast called 'All My Friends Are in Bar Bands' and we thought it would be sick to talk to one another, and share them to our respective listeners, to give some insight into one another. I had a great time having a chat with Dave at a pub in Sydney and the conversation was a ripper. Check it out!

This week my guest is Matt Weston (High Tension, The Nation Blue), Matt came around for a chat about his experiences working in the music industry as a filmmaker, musician and all around good time enthusiast. High Tension's new album 'Bully' is out July 10 on Cooking Vinyl. BRUTAL!

This week my guest is Nate Newton (Converge, Doomriders, Old Man Gloom), Nate and I met when I Exist toured with Doomriders in Australia a couple years ago and I thought it would be cool to have another international voice on the podcast. We had a great chat about Nate's musical development, Converge and being a father. Enjoy!

This week my guest is Graham Nixon, owner and big boss dogg at Resist Records. Graham has been a really important and integral figure to the Australian Hardcore landscape through running his record store, his label and just being a good dude! I caught up with Graz in the shop for a chat about his relationship with music and some stuff to do with the label and store! Enjoy!

This week my guest is Meg Gallagher, Meg is an accomplished MMA Fighter and someone who I've wanted to chat to for a while about her personal involvement with music and how this has impacted on her life, so here we are! Meg has a really interesting life story and one that I'm stoked I get to share a glimpse of for the internet. Enjoy!
