It's been a crazy week for Bigfoot enthusiasts, with the firestorm of Capturing Bigfoot and the Patterson-Gimlin film debate, but we have to move on. The Legend of Boggy Creek is one of the most influential Bigfoot films ever made. Along with the Patterson-Gimlim film, it inspired countless people to become interested in the Sasquatch phenomenon. But most people don't realize that the creature was seen long before the famous flap of the early 1970s. And sightings of the creature continue still to this day.
