In this episode, I speak to Zack Miranowic and Oliva Horovitz, the talented musical duo from Riversend! They are the artists behind "Moonlight," the intro/outro music for this podcast. We talk about how they started creating music, Zack's musical background and other projects, how he got Olivia to start Riversend with him, and of course, they share some ghost stories! We cover a lot of ground in this episode, from our favorite guitars to tales of the Hat Man and other paranormal phenomena! Zack and Oliva are awesome, so enjoy this special episode!
This week I revisit more Bigfoot sightings in Litchfield County, Connecticut! A listener commented on our previous Connecticut Bigfoot episode (The Winsted Wildman) that he had a strange encounter, and he reported it to the BFRO. So I figured this was a great week to talk about the other sighting reports in Litchfield that I didn't get to last time. I camp at Point Folly on Bantam Lake every year, so Litchfield is near and dear to my heart. Enjoy more stories of Bigfoot in Connecticut!
Today is Halloween! And to celebrate, I welcome my friend Kristi and her cousin Laurie to the show for some spooky ghost stories! Kristi tells us about the time she saw a ghostly mist, another time a disembodied voice called out to her, and a strange vision she had of her daughter one night. Laurie tells us about some uplifting experiences with her husband after he passed away, a little blonde girl who haunts her home, her experiences when younger with the Hat Man and more. We also talk about our days together as paranormal investigators when we would go out ghost hunting on Staten Island and New Jersey. Happy Halloween everyone!
As we get deeper into spooky season, I return to some Gettysburg ghost stories! Here in Part 2, I discuss the Cashtown Inn, Triangular Field, and some haunted houses that remain on the battlefield! And see the link below if you want to check out Part 1!
It's the spooky season, and John returns to the show so we can discuss our favorite movies about haunted houses and ghosts! Though we did our best to avoid them, there are some spoilers here, so be sure to use the timestamps below if you want to skip a particular film you haven't seen so we don't spoil it for you! Enjoy!
For this week's episode, I'm looking at some Bigfoot reports from northern New Jersey! Specifically, Warren County. Why? Well last weekend, I walked the Mammoth March with Rebecca, Dan, and Daniel, a 20-mile hike through and around Allamuchy State Park. While hiking, my thoughts (as they often do) turned to Bigfoot, and I figured it was a great time to talk about possible sasquatch sightings in the area. The hike was intense, with lots of rugged trails with rocks, roots, mud, and plenty of elevation gain - perfect habitat for Bigfoot, if it exists. So listen to the five stories I recount here, and let me know if you think Bigfoot inhabits the woods of the Garden State!

Spooky season is here, and for our first October episode, Scott returns to the show so we can discuss our favorite Bigfoot movies! We realized when compiling our list that while there's lots of Bigfoot movies out there, only a few of them are ones we can truly recommend. We discuss what we believe are the best Bigfoot movies, but also one we consider to be the worst. Check out our picks!
Andy from the Spooky Island Radio podcast is finally here! Andy and I have known each other pretty much since we both began our shows, and we've talked extensively off-air and have been wanting to collaborate for a while now, and it was amazing finally being able to talk to him. We discuss the Missing 411 phenomenon, as Andy does great shows on Missing 411 Case Files, our mutual interest in Bigfoot, and he even shares some of his personal ghost stories. We also discuss our thoughts on what might be behind the Missing 411 cases - sasquatch, serial killer wild men, interdimensional portals, UFOs, and more. Andy is an amazing podcaster with really cool stories and theories, so make sure you show him some love by giving his show a listen and a subscribe!
This week I'm taking a look at some cryptids from folklore and mythology! Some of these are clear and known hoaxes, but have wiggled their way into pop culture. The Jackalope and Hodag come to mind, as well as the lesser-known Jenny Haniver. Others are bizarre creatures from our past, seen frequently back in the day, but largely forgotten now. The Squonk and the Snallygaster, despite their funny names, are amongst America's fearsome critters of lore. The puckwudgie, dating back to early Native Americal legends, is still reportedly seen today in the Northeast. Do you have a favorite mythologica cryptid, whether from rogue taxidermy to folklore and legend? Let us know in the comments below!
I've talked plenty about Bigfoot in the Adirondacks, but this week I'm discussing some Sasquatch sightings in the Catskills! Part of the Appalachian Mountain chain, the Catskill Mountains are located in upstate New York, near the Hudson River Valley. And there are lots of parks and wilderness areas here, which means plenty of Bigfoot sightings! This week, I explore three encounters from Delaware county, in the Catskills. Enjoy!
