In today's show, we discuss how the drone industry is going through a state of flux. Unlike many other sectors that have multiple manufacturers jostling for market share, the US drone market has long been dominated by just 1 player - the Chinese manufacturer, DJI. However, the recent launch of the Skydio R2 could upset this status quo.

David vs.Goliath Showdown in 2020?

The launch of the Skydio R2 has set the stage for a classic "David vs Goliath" showdown. Skydio is hoping to lure away DJI customers with the R2 - an autonomous drone aggressively priced at $999. However, DJI, the Goliath that Skydio is up against is no slouch either. No sooner did Skydio come out with the R2, DJI announced two new drones - the DJI Mavic Mini and the DJI Mavic 3.

Particularly, DJI Mavic 3, the drone that Skydio R2 is directly pitted against is rumored to be equipped with a bigger sensor and enhanced obstacle avoidance capabilities (in comparison to its predecessor, the DJI Mavic 2).

But, will the DJI Mavic 3 manage to outshine the Skydio 2, a drone with cutting-edge autonomous capabilities? Or, like in the biblical tale, will we see David (Skydio) upstaging the Goliath (DJI) in 2020? Who will win the DRONE WARS in 2020?
