"To All the Boys" & Co. provides a refreshingly upbeat, lighthearted, cutesy installation to the YA film adaption catalogue, although it's emphasis on crushes and boyfriends, among other things, had us clutching a few pearls. The films are mainly clean, but they've also led us to introduce our newly-coined motto for our long-time stance of "stage of consent" over "age of consent."

PS: For some unknown reason, we renamed the third film/book, and we have no idea why. Hence the episode title. Apologies for the mistake!

Disney-Pixar scores again with the visually spectacular Coco, a more mature animated feature about the importance of family and remembering past generations. Like Soul, it somehow crosses into spiritual realm without any mention of religion, though, like Soul, it also does a great job of exploring a culture through love of its music.

Because that's what we do, celebrate 51 instead of 50, which is what other people do.

Also, this episode is about the off-Broadway musical The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown.

Even though many of the songs are a bit long and windy, what's most notable about this musical is the structure. The story is told by only two people moving in opposite chronological directions, which makes the stage version the preferred way to see it!
