  • Bonus Episode: Podcast And Life Update 2021
    Hey Everyone,
Angela Bowen here the host of many podcasts dedicated to reviewing episodes of 80's and 90's TV Shows.
I wanted to give you all an update on the the changes that will take place for my podcasting schedule from now on going forward and why I've come to this decision.
Back in 2017, I started out podcasting on the show Punky Brewster and then that same year I added The Wonder Years and then episodes of Mr. Belvedere and then it just kind of snowballed from there.
It was a fun little hobby or at least that's what I intended it to be in the beginning.
I didn't think anyone would ever listen but you all surprised me with your downloads and your interest and for that I thank you, then and now.
Somewhere along the line, I kept added shows and piling on more responsibility and some how I just became buried under the weight of it all.
I never wanted podcasting to become a chore or feel like I had to do it or get to the point where it doesn't feel fun anymore and makes me feel overwhelmed.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all of you, listeners new and old, but I realized last night I have to make some changes and get to a healthy me, not just physically but mentally as well.
So I will be releasing an podcast episode a week.
What does that mean for the shows I cover, here's a breakdown:
Full House/Fuller House = Twice A Month (Based On Theme)
Diff'rent Strokes = Once A Month (1 Episode From Each Season)
Boy Meets World = Once A Month (Random Episode)
Small Wonder = Once A Month (In Order By Season, Currently On Season 2)
Punky Brewster Reboot = Once A Month (Starting late February 2021)
Now, I know this might sound confusing as I tend to change my mind a lot, but I do believe this is the best thing for me at this time. Thank you for understanding.

  • Fuller House: S3E13: A Tommy Tale (In Honor Of The Messitt Twins (Tommy Fuller Jr.) Birthday
    Hey Tanner, Fuller, Gibbler Fans,
Angela Bowen here the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
Today in honor of Dashiell and Fox Messitt's (who share the role of Tommy Fuller Jr.) Birthdays, I decided to cover Fuller House S3E13: A Tommy Tale, which aired on December 22, 2017.
In this episode D.J. attempts to get Tommy into a prestigious preschool known as The Center For Discovery, but he has to pass the interview first, Max is ready to give his report on Ancient Rome at school, but winds up with a high fever and is ordered back to bed, Max and his cunning ways lead to an hilarious escape attempt complete with him wearing a toga and escaping out the window of his bedroom.
Jackson and Ramona are dressed for Pioneer Day at school (granted Ramona more resembled Little House On The Prairie and Jackson was giving off serious Amish vibes with his solid blue shirt and vest). Also they have to give up their electronics, so no phones or tablets and especially no Doritos.
Ramona challenges Kimmy to a No Tech Day and wow does Kimmy has serious withdraws as the episode goes on even playing a physical candy crush game with real candy and a mallet.
Jackson and Ramona learn a hard lesson without their phones, missing the bus, discovering a payphone and panhandling. The adventure and fun and hilarity never stop with this family.
DJ learns a lesson as well and that is some kids learn at a different speed than other kids and that's ok. No shame and no blame.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this episode and I'll be back in February for the new series Tanner Girls In Love.
Check back in late January when I cover, Full House S2E10 Middle Age Crazy in honor of Jodie Sweetin's birthday.
Have a great holiday week and I'll see you in 2021!

  • Full House: S7E12: Support Your Local Parents (Jesse & Becky: The Next Chapter: New Parents Series)
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Full House Fans,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
Today, I covered the last episode in the Full House Jesse & Becky: The Next Chapter New Parents Series, with Full House S7E12: Support Your Local Parents, which aired on November 30, 1993.
In this episode Jesse and Becky are concerned that Nicky and Alex won't socialize with other kids, and attend a parent support group. In the meantime, Stephanie and Michelle learn D.J. has received a traffic ticket and request full access to her wardrobe or they'll tell Danny.
I enjoyed this episode, Jesse learns to ask for help when it comes to raising their twins and there's no shame in support groups and he and Becky both learn to spend time with their (non preferred, example, Jesse is always with Nicky and Becky is always with Alex) twins separately so they'll form individual personalities and interests(hopefully non Elvis and Beach Boy related).
DJ gets herself in some hot water after she gets a ticket while driving Danny's car (thanks a lot Kimmy!), Stephanie and Michelle use this info to basically blackmail DJ just so they can root through her closet.
Apparently DJ has good taste in clothes (remember the similar plot in Season 4 The Hole In The Wall Gang)makes sense Steph would want to wear them but Michelle is no where near her older sister's sizes but it's more I want to do what my big sisters are doing kind of attitude.
It irritated me that Steph and Michelle thought they were going to go unpunished,(girls, you blackmailed your sister, no way is that going unpunished). Danny's creative punishment is one for the parenting books.
Join me in February for the new series Full House: Tanner Girls In Love, with four episodes about the sisters dealing with love and boy dilemmas.
Season 2 - Baby Love (Michelle)
Season 4 - Stephanie Plays The Field (Stephanie)
Season 6 - Lovers and Other Tanners (DJ)
Season 8 - Dateless In San Francisco (Valentine's Day Episode)
Have a great holiday week and I'll see you in the new year, 2021.

  • Full House: S7E4: Tough Love (Jesse & Becky: The Next Chapter: New Parents Series)
    Happy Full House Friday,
Angela Bowen, here the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
Today, I'm covering the next episode in the Jesse & Becky: The Next Chapter: New Parents Series, Full House S7E4: Tough Love, which aired on October 5, 1993.
In this episode Nicky and Alex's behavior gets out of hand when Becky and Jesse can't bring themselves to discipline them; when Jesse finally puts his foot down he starts to regret it after the boys call him 'mean daddy'.
I enjoyed this episode, Jesse and Becky come to the realization that their twin toddlers are out of control and in reality they should have been disciplining them a while ago instead of waiting till they were two and are wreaking havoc in the Tanner home.
Vicki's monthly visit to see Danny leads her to opt out of going to a restaurant with all 10 of them and instead volunteering her services to cook for everyone in the Tanner home. Now, what Vicki makes is probably her staple diet with goat cheese pizza and pesto spaghetti (I actually wouldn't mind trying the pesto thing).
Danny warns her that his daughter's palates haven't evolved yet and they turn their nose up at anything that isn't chicken, hamburger or pizza (regular pizza) ya know, kid pleaser staples.
In fear of Vicki's feelings being hurt, he pays off Stephanie and Michelle in advance(DJ and friends are left to tough it out the hard way, I guess),which in the end he just insults Vicki by doing, along with Steph and Michelle making jokes about the goat cheese and actually wiping off the pesto spaghetti with a napkin (removing said pesto, leaving a plain noodle).
After destroying Michelle's solar system diorama and causing a ruckus at dinner Jesse and Becky finally agree they have to put their foot down and punish the boys. Well, actually Becky has Jesse do it and report back to her.
Bottom line, it couldn't be avoided any longer.
Jesse loses his temper and the boys turn on him calling him "mean daddy". Becky tells him he did the right thing by following through punishing them, after she catches him trying to sneak dessert up to them. They both realize the boys need limits and rules to grow up to became good upstanding gentleman or two college dropouts who run a fish taco truck (see Fuller House Season 1 for example).
Join me next week when I cover the final episode in the series with Full House S7E12: Support Your Local Parents, which aired on November 30, 1993.
in this episode Jesse and Becky are concerned that Nicky and Alex won't socialize with other kids, and attend a parent support group. In the meantime, Stephanie and Michelle learn D.J. has received a traffic ticket and request full access to her wardrobe or they'll tell Danny.
Have a great weekend and a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

  • Full House: S5E21: Yours, Mine, and Ours (Jesse & Becky: The Next Chapter: New Parents Series)
    Happy Friday Full House Fans,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
Today, I covered the next episode in the Jesse & Becky: The Next Chapter: New Parents Series, with Full House S5E21: Yours, Mine and Ours, which aired on March 3, 1992.
In this episode Jesse and Becky disagree on how to raise Nicky and Alex. We see a hilarious future flash forward, complete with Jesse adjusting to a life with hair plugs (Was this a thing?)and Becky's still pouring corn starch down a now teenage Alex's pants 15 years later (apparently his chafing never cleared up from infancy), don't even get me started on the nightmare that is Nicky (good grief, so disrespectful and bares a striking resemblance to Guns n' Roses musician Slash).
When they find themselves facing a sick baby they quickly put all squabbling aside and jump into action realizing they can each have their own opinion without judgement while communicating and coming to compromise.
Also Danny's attempt at a Tanner Family Fun Night to turn his daughter's and Joey's frowns upside down go from bad idea to worst idea ever. Word to the wise Danny, you can't force someone to have fun.
Plus come on, be honest here, would you want to go out somewhere if someone invited you when you've had a bad day and be forced to put on a smile and have a good time when all you want to do is stay home and mope.
    Me neither.
This was fun to go back and rewatch.

  • Full House: S5E11: Nicky and/or Alexander (Jesse & Becky: The Next Chapter: New Parents Series)
    Happy Friday Full House Fans,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
Today, I kick off the new Full House Series, Jesse & Becky: The Next Chapter: New Parents in Full House: S5E11: Nicky and/or Alex, which aired on November 19, 1991.
In this episode back home from the hospital, Jesse can't tell his identical twin sons, Nicky and Alex, apart. Meanwhile, Danny likes his new, temporary co-host, Vicky Larson.
I enjoyed this episode. Jesse is so determined to be the perfect dad that after he takes the color coded baby booties off his identical newborn twin sons feet and can't tell who is who, as well as dealing with Becky's "mood swings" or postpartum depression he decides to hide this fact from her until he can restore them to their rightful identity.
I found out that there are many ways to tell your twins apart as babies and the color coding system is one of the ways, as well as distinguishing physical features such as birthmarks or if one is right handed and the other is left handed.
I really wish they could have addressed Becky's postpartum depression in a better light instead of labeling it as "mood swings" or "acting crazy or nuts". That just seems insulting and disrespectful to those who are struggling, suffering or working their way through it.
We get to meet Vicki Larson Danny's temporary Wake Up San Francisco co-host fill in for Rebecca while she's on maternity leave. I really dislike how Danny was mansplaining and talking down to her. Luckily he discovered she has won two Emmys for investigative reporting and was a News Anchor for 5 years and that basically shut him right up.
Join me next week for the next episode in the series Full House S5E21: Yours, Mine and Ours, which aired on March 3, 1992.

  • Full House: S6E7: Trouble In Twin Town (In Honor Of Blake & Dylan's (Nicky & Alex) Birthday
    Hey Full House Fans,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
Today, I'm covering Full House S6E7: Trouble In Twin Town, which aired on November 10, 1992, in honor of Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit's (who played Nicky and Alex Katsopolis on Full House and Fuller House)Birthday, November 29, 1990.
Hard to believe they're 30 years old this year. Yikes! Where did the time go.
In this episode Becky's snobby cousins come to town to enter their daughters in a twin contest; Jesse is determined to show up Dick Donaldson and enters Nicky and Alex as well. Meanwhile, at the contest, Stephanie meets twin boys and pretends she's a twin to be with them.
This episode really was fun but also caused my hackles to raise due to Becky's snobbish cousins Dick and Donna Donaldson who flew all the way from Nebraska to enter their twin daughters Debbie and Darla in a Favorite Twins Competition in San Francisco.
They twin girls were awful and rude to both Joey and Michelle. And Dick and Donna were taking cheap shots at Jesse like for example in this Season he's going to night school to get his GED and they laugh at him because they think he's joking. They also joke how he's a "struggling musician" and constantly bringing up Doyce Plunk Becky's old boyfriend and lives in a mansion and buys his wife a new coupe deville every year. Dick also tells Jesse out of earshot of Becky that "we all expected Becky to do better" as in she settled for Jesse like she married below her class, settling for less. I really wished Becky would have stood up for her husband and told her cousins off. I would have, family or no family you don't talk to my spouse or significant other that way and get away with it.
I also discuss in length about Stephanie's should'a been a "no means no moment" with this boy in her class Jimmy Laster who is always pulling her hair and giving her noogies. Being this is the 90's DJ subscribes to the "maybe he just likes you" theory and advises Steph to give the boy a call, resulting in him telling her he'll call the police on her for harassment if she ever phones him again.
    Good grief!
Join me this week when I cover the first episode in the Jesse & Becky: The Next Chapter: New Parents Series coming out Friday, Full House S5E11: Nicky/and or Alexander, which aired on November 19, 1991.

  • Fuller House: S4E7: President Fuller (Back To School Part 2 Series)
Happy Full House Fuller House Friday Everyone,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
Today, I covered the last entry in the Back To School Part 2 Series with Fuller House S4E7: President Fuller, which aired on December 14, 2018.
In this episode Max runs for fourth-grade class president - but his girlfriend Rose is running, too. DJ tries to make up with CJ, and Steph picks a fight with a clown.
I really enjoyed this episode and I feel Max learns a valuable lesson about what's more important friends or winning. We see a side of Max in the episode that feels a little out of context, I'm referring to the video he made of Rose, it could be looked at as a smear campaign but I see this as a form of bullying and I really think DJ should have addressed it as such, this scene reminded me of when Popko made that humiliating video of Ramona as a dancing hippo and uploaded it for the world to see. The just doesn't seem like a Max thing to do, that he would stoop that low to hurt someone just to get ahead in this class presidential race.
We also have DJ looking for closure and unburdening herself as she tries and fails to get CJ to listen to her apology about ruining her and Steve's wedding in Japan. Surprisingly enough, CJ also has grievances to unload on DJ, so she can finally shut the book on this chapter of her life and move on.
Fun times are had when Stephanie and Sudsy the Clown go head to head in a who's the better children's entertainer rock battle between her guitar and his accordian.
    MEDICAL TRIGGER WARNING:
TIMESTAMP 1: 1 Hour 14 Minute Mark to 1 Hour 21 Minute Mark
TIMESTAMP 2: 1 Hour 44 Minute Mark to
This episode's side plot has Becky and Danny doing a segment for Wake Up San Francisco on preventative health care in the form of a colostomy procedure, which is discussed at length. I do my best to give those of you who struggle with medical triggers a heads up when the scene starts and ends so you can skip over that part.
So I was thinking about the series of episodes I wanted to cover for the final month of 2020 and then one day it just hit me, I started 2020 with the Jesse & Becky: A Love Story Arc, so it only seems fitting to end this year with them, coming December 2020 to a Full House Podcast Near You:
Jesse & Becky: The Next Chapter: New Parents
I'll be covering the first episode in that series, Full House S5E11: Nicky and/ or Alex, which aired on November 19, 1991.
In this episode Back home from the hospital, Jesse can't tell his identical twin sons, Nicky and Alex, apart. Meanwhile, Danny likes his new, temporary co-host, Vicky Larson.
Have a great and safe weekend everyone and I'll see you in December!

  • Fuller House: S5E12: Cold Turkey (Thanksgiving Episode)
Happy Thanksgiving Tanner, Fuller Gibbler Fans,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
Today, in honor of Thanksgiving I covered, Fuller House S5E12: Cold Turkey, which aired on June 2, 2020.
In this episode holiday traditions go out the window when Steph cooks her first Thanksgiving dinner- and Danny, Jesse and Joey get locked inside a freezer.
This episode has it all, SUSPENSE,EXCITEMENT,HILARITY, THROWBACKS and HEARTWARMING MOMENTS, kicking it off with Jesse, Joey and Danny trapped in a freezer at Uncle Monty's which leads to an uncomfortable confession from one of the guys making things incredibly awkward given the situation, a Secret Mission I'll call Operation Save Thanksgiving, we should just call this episode Stephanie Drives Joey's Car Through The Kitchen... Again and of course ending on a sweet note of baby Danielle's first taste of solid food. Also Joey's car Rosie or should I say Rosie Number 2 isn't the only call back to OG Full House, Pam Tanner's Picture Perfect Pumpkin Pie makes an appearance. Yum!
This was so much fun to review and I hope you all enjoy it and have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!
Join me this Friday as I conclude the Full House Back To School Part 2 Series with Fuller House S4E7: President Fuller, which aired on December 14, 2018.
