  • Full House: S6E12: A Very Tanner Christmas (Tis The Season Series)
    Happy Holidays Tanner Fans,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
In the spirit of giving this holiday season, here is my review of Full House S612: A Very Tanner Christmas, which aired on December 15, 1992.
    In this episode:
    Danny misses Vicki
    DJ misses Steve
Becky misses Snowy Christmas in Nebraska
Steph and Michelle are missing more presents
Each family member gets a pleasant surprise in the form of loving, giving and receiving.
Also I do a deep dive into Spuds McKenzie via my internet search including his or should I say her gender, her time as an alcoholic beverage spokesanimal of the 80’s and 90’s as well as her real name, it’s a long one.
Let me just say I had a mini Spuds stuffed dog complete with Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses when I was 7 and not once did it tempt me to pick up a Bud Light.
Also I’d like to publicly correct myself over Grumpy Cat’s (R.I.P 2019) real name who I guessed was tuna fish it’s actually tarter sauce.
    Episode Description:
while Michelle and Stephanie are busy making extra long Christmas lists, other members of the Tanner household are not feeling so cheery. Danny misses Vicki, Rebecca misses the white Christmases of her childhood, and DJ worries that she will miss Steve after he decides to attend college on the East coast.
Join me next week for another Christmas Episode Full House S8E11: Arrest Ye Merry Gentleman, which aired on December 13, 1994.
In this episode Michelle saves up to buy the perfect present for her father for Christmas. Later Becky buys the same present as a gag gift for Joey, and the whole family Laughs at it. Michelle forces Jesse to take her to return it on Christmas eve but the store clerk wont budge. He presses a button that calls the police after Jesse insists forcefully. Nicky and Alex are afraid of Santa Clause.

  • Fuller House: S5E1: Welcome Home, Baby-To-Be-Named-Later
    Hey Tanneritos, Fullerites and Gibblerettes,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
Today, I covered Fuller House S5E1: Welcome Home, Baby-To-Be-Named-Later, which aired on December 6, 2019.
In this episode Stephanie and Jimmy come home with their baby but they still haven't named her yet. With a doula in the house, DJ and Danny don't feel they're needed.
Jackson, Max and Ramona while looking upstairs in the attic which now justs like an old attic and not Jesse and Becky's apartment or more recently Kimmy's place. What happened there?
Anyway, while they're up there, we get many references to Michelle's stuffed Rigby The Rhino in Full House Season 7 The Day Of The Rhino and also references to Jesse with the Fred Flintstone costume he wore in Season 5 Happy Birthday Babies Part 2 and The Spray Guard 2001 from Season 7 The Prying Game, also up there is Stephanie's Mr. Bear, Michelle's bicycle from Season 7 The Bicycle Thief. Jesse's Elvis costume from Full House Season 1
Mad Money, Stephanie's trench coat from Full House Season 1 A Pox In The House, Jesse's framed pink bunny from Full House Season 4 Fuller House, Michelle's drawing of Comet from Full House Season 7 Be Your Own Best Friend.
I bet there is still so many things that could be referenced to other Full House episodes.
Kimmy is being reckless because she feels she can since she's no longer pregnant until she reveals to Fernando she misses being pregnant.
Poor Jimmy is trying to ask Danny's permission for Stephanie's hand in marriage and failing until Danny stops giving him a hard time and offers his blessing.
So far I've only seen the first episode of Season 5 but I can't wait to watch the rest.
I hope you enjoyed my coverage of this episode. I always have so much fun with tese and hope you enjoy listening to them.

  • Full House: S2E9: Our Very First Christmas Show (Tis' The Season Series)
    Happy Holidays Tanner Fans,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
I'd like to welcome you to the first holiday episode in the Tis' The Season Series.
Full House S2E9: Our Very First Christmas Show, which aired on December 16, 1988.
The show's first Christmas episode has the Tanner Family including Joey along with Jesse's parents taking to the skies for a Tanner Family Reunion per Danny's request in Colorado on Christmas Eve.
Surprise to all, Rebecca Donaldson (Danny's co-host of Wake-Up San Francisco and Jesse's love interest) is along for the flight only to be changing planes in Denver to spend time with her family in Nebraska.
We also meet a grumpy airline passenger whose alter ego reveal later is a surprise to us all. This man might seem familiar if you watched the 70's and 80's hit show Dukes Of Hazzard. Yes, this man played Boss Hogg County.
This guy was a character you loved to hate.
The Tanners get all up in this guys kool-aid when apparently due to the airline's incompetence of booking seats he receives the same seat assignment of 3B as DJ and Danny?
This was the 80's everyone. We were nowhere near the digital age we are now, where you can just have your boarding pass on your phone and can scan it as you board the plane.
This would have been a dream for this guy(with today's technology airline procedere is a breeze requiring very little human interaction)who clearly appears to be repelled by the human race (maybe this was a clue to his otherworldly presence) or maybe it's the Tanners.
From an overbooked seat, missing out on first class (which is offered to DJ and Stephanie)and toddler Michelle pulling off that man's toupee leading him to yell at her in embarrassment.
Jesse and the family along with whole plane break out in song "The Lady From Ipanema".
Good grief, this is the song that calms her down, granted we're a year or so out from her favorite song being "Teddy Bear" by Elvis Presley.
Things go from bad to worse as the weather must have taken a page out of Mr. Grumpy Puss's playbook and decides to impact the Tanner's flight with a snowstorm leaving them grounded until morning at an airport in Colorado.
Stephanie's whole problem throughout the episode is that she doesn't want to go on this trip because Santa knows she lives in San Fran and he won't be able to find her if she goes to Colorado.
Apparently you're wrong Steph, because unbeknownst to all of you he's hitched a ride along with and will end up making all that is wrong with everyone, right again.
Along with missing presents arriving on Christmas morning on the conveyor belt.
The presents that Little Miss Snoopy Mc Snooperson DJ was oh so determined to find to the point of making her way through the dirty, cramped, spider infested crawl space in the attic to discover.
Joey pulls A Miracle On 34th Street on Stephanie which goes horribly wrong as Michelle outs him which just confuses and upsets Stephanie more leading her to once again take refuge in her phone booth and harass the operator again for Santa's phone number.
Jesse after majoring prodding from his grandbaby starved parents who desperately want a grandson (mind you I point they have two later on that they never see, if it's not onscreen it doesn't happen)shares his first kiss with Becky under the mistletoe.
So much excitement and crazy times for the Tanners and family etc on this trip.
I had so much fun covering this episode and I hope you enjoy listening to it, whether you're headed out to cut down a tree or Christmas shopping for loved ones and friends, while you're at home decorating your tree, hanging stocking or making Christmas cookies, take the Full House Podcast along, it's fun for the whole family.

  • Fuller House: S2E6: Fuller Thanksgiving (Thanksgiving Episode)
Happy Turkey Month Tanner, Fuller, Gibbler Fans,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
Today in honor of Thanksgiving this month I decided to cover Fuller House S2E6 Fuller Thanksgiving, which aired on December 16, 2016.
    In this episode
It’s definitely a Fuller House when everybody and I mean everybody comes to DJ’s for Thanksgiving. Some expected guests and some not so expected.
DJ and Matt are keeping their relationship under wraps from Steve, Danny is going through a midlife crisis of sorts as he arrives dressed forty years younger, sporting some bling and shades along with some hip new lingo.
    What the hey?
Steve and CJ arrive which just screams awkward for DJ, I mean inviting your ex boyfriend and his current girlfriend.
    Who does this?
Jesse and Becky constantly argue about a baby and whether they should adopt or not adopt.
Nicky and Alex (the twins can’t tell one from the other) still act like they’re four years old when they left Full House.
Joey and his wife and their goblin children bombard the house, causing chaos in their wake.
Eventually all simmer down after some heartfelt talks about what everyone wants out of their life and they finally sit down to a beautiful and delectable dinner.
Join me December 1 for the first of many Full and Fuller House Christmas Episodes to help get you in the holiday spirit!

  • Full House: S1E9: The Miracle Of Thanksgiving (Thanksgiving Episode)
    Happy Turkey Month Tanner Fans,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
For the month of November I decided to cover Full House S1E9: The Miracle Of Thanksgiving, which aired on November 20, 1987.
In this episode It's the first Thanksgiving without Pam and her entire family feels the effect of their loss. D. J. takes over Thanksgiving dinner, but when things fall apart - both the dinner and emotions - the boys help the girls and each other through it.
I loved this episode. For anyone who has lost a loved one let me tell you the first major holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas can be really rough. I know it will be for me especially this Christmas not having my Dad here.
If I could I would give John Stamos an award for his acting when he breaks down in front of Danny and reveals how much he's hurting at the loss of his sister Pam. I know Uncle Jesse is supposed to be this tough, hip and cool guy, but there is nothing wrong with displaying emotion and letting your feeling be known, regardless of gender. You can't hold it in and bottle it up, let it out.
Believe it or not there are others in the world who have experienced the same hurt and pain that comes with losing someone they love and were close to, know that you're not alone in that.
After the episode I play a couple scenes from the show Party Of Five S1E10 Thanksgiving.
I wanted to do this to shore a comparison, it's the Salinger siblings first Thanksgiving without their parents and they receive news that the drunk driver that killed their parents is being released early from jail.
The kids deal with that in their own way.
In the first clip the kids are deciding whether or not to go see the man who killed their parents and in the second clip Bailey goes to see Walter Alcott and unloads on him, especially when it comes to his baby brother Owen (who's about the same age as Michelle) and how he's going to be walking soon and his parents won't be there to see it and how Owen won't have any memories of their parents.
That really made me think of Michelle and I wondered if Danny would have reacted like Bailey had in this scene if confronted with the drunk driver that killed his wife.
Granted Bailey Salinger is a teenager anguished over his parent's deaths and Danny is a grieving husband.
But still, it's all the same anger.
Join me in two weeks when I cover Fuller House S2E6: Fuller Thanksgiving, which aired on December 9, 2016.
In this episode the house feels overstuffed when the entire Tanner Family shows up for Thanksgiving, pushing DJs organizational skills into overdrive.
Now this episode doesn't pack the same emotional punch as Full House The Miracle Of Thanksgiving but it's still fun and has a lot of heart with the whole extended family coming for Thanksgiving along with some uninvited guests that are welcome at the table.

    Hey Tanner Fans,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller Podcast.
Today I covered a Halloween Episode of Full House: S3E8: Divorce Court, which aired on November 17, 1989.
In this episode DJ and Stephanie divorce each other basically sleep in separate rooms, due to an ongoing argument of the elementary school Halloween carnival that DJ promised Stephanie she'd go to, while DJ now in junior high would rather go to her friend Kathy Santoni's Halloween party.
The guys step in and help the girls get their sisterhood back on track leading DJ to compromise with Steph allowing dher to do both the Halloween Carnival and later her friend's party.
Speaking of the guys, there's a who's most athletic race with the wager being the losers have to go to the Halloween Carnival in which ever the winner's costume choices are.

  • Fuller House: S1E5: Mad Max (In Honor Of Elias Harger's (Max Fuller) Birthday)
    Hey Tanner Fuller Gibbler Fans,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
Today I decided to cover Fuller House S1E5: Mad Max, which aired on December 9, 2016 in honor of Elias Harger's (Max Fuller) Birthday today.
In this episode when an old friend whisks her away for a concert and after-hours fun, Stephanie realizes just how much her nephews mean to her. Kimmy finds D.J. a date. Max has pre-stage fright about his upcoming musical recital until Stephanie loans her "magic" scarf to him giving him a confidence boost, granted all that bravado goes out the window after Stephanie leaves taking the scarf with her.
Stephanie wanting to make things right over the phone has Max play for Coachella's audience thus restoring his confidence. Meanwhile Kimmy's been on a man hunt as she peruses the dating sites to get DJ back in the dating scene. She brings one of the prospects back to the Tanner House and hilarity ensues as there is a mix up because DJ also called a plumber to fix the toilet upstairs after Ramona flushes one of Tommy's diapers down it. Lots of cray cray innuendos for us adults as DJ misinterprets a confused Tyler cues(the dating website guy) as she leads him upstairs to fix the toilet.
Lastly, Stephanie feels as if she's missing out on her nephews lives and that the party scene is getting old. A tearful Stephanie reveals to DJ that she is unable to have children. This sets up a multiple Season Arc with Stephanie as the family helps her along in the process of finding a surrogate who turns out to be Kimmy who offers her womb to help incubate Stephanie and Jimmy(Kimmy's younger brother and Stephanie's love interest/boyfriend) soon to be baby.
I'll admit I broke down when I originally saw this episode and I loved how DJ is there for her.
Join me later this week when I cover Full House S3E8: Divorce Court, which aired on November 17, 1989.
In this episode Differing plans on Halloween causes a 'divorce' in the family between DJ and Stephanie as they sleep in separate rooms and she comes to terms with the fact that her sister is getting older and a promise of going to her old elementary school's Halloween Carnival has been broken in favor of going to her friend's Halloween party, while the adults have a race to prove who's the most athletic between them. The losers have to wear the costumes the winner picks.
    Have a great week everyone!

  • Full House: S8E2: Breaking Away (Back To School Series)
    Happy Friday Tanner Fans,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
Today, I covered the final episode in the Full House Back To School Series with Full House S8E2:Breaking Away, which aired on October 4, 1994.
In this episode it’s all about letting go and sadly Jesse isn’t ready when his and Becky’s twin boys Nicky and Alex start preschool.
While Becky starts out the inconsolable one, Jesse remains the strong one or so she thinks, but as soon as the boys enter preschool they’re off like a shot, leaving Jesse in the dust minus a goodbye kiss, as the boys are all about their independence once they cross the threshold into the classroom, they separate easily from each other and Jesse excited to try all the fun activities that preschool has to offer, like trains and puzzles, not even stopping to look back or give a kiss goodbye to their Dad.
Feeling jilted, Jesse refuses to leave the classroom making himself a nuisance and a distraction to the teacher and the other students to the point of coming off as a classroom creeper while he hides under a desk to silently observe, but gets noticed by a a student only to lead to the boy screaming stranger danger and running in fear toward the teacher.
Can you imagine if Nicky and Alex were older and he did this? How embarrassing?
This of course doesn’t sit well with Jesse, so he hastily pulls them out of school only to make a poor attempt at home schooling them until Becky finds out the truth.
Also in this episode Gia’s influence on Stephanie is strong as she changes her appearance and has total disregard to the upkeep of her room, which leads Michelle to take drastic measures by moving in with DJ.
Jesse, Becky, and the boys get a preschool redo the next day and it ends with Jesse and Becky watching the boys through the classroom window as they settle into their first day with their new classmates and teacher Miss Suzie.
Overall, I enjoyed this episode it brought back some memories albeit fuzzy ones of my first day of kindergarten where I found a girl I knew from preschool and we played house together.
I totally related to Stephanie and the dirty room scenario. When I was growing up I always was talked to about not shoving my clothes and stuff into closets and under the bed and to actually put them away inthe dresser.
Even as an adult, Jeremy will say I'm not the cleanest person when it comes to my side of our bedroom.
Some habits we have as children never truly go away as we become adults.
Also giving a shout out to Bonnie Urseth who played Miss Suzie, I play a few clips from Punky Brewster Season 2 The Gift, where Bonnie portrays a mentally challenged school custodian who Punky befriends and teaches us all a lesson who accepting people with disabilities.
Next week, I will be covered the first of two Halloween Episodes, Full House S3E8 Divorce Court, DJ and Stephanie divorce each other basically sleep in separate rooms, due to an ongoing argument of the elementary school Halloween carnival that DJ promised Stephanie she'd go to, while DJ now in junior high would rather go to her friend Kathy Santoni's Halloween party.
The guys step in and help the girls get their sisterhood back on track leading DJ to compromise with Steph allowing dher to do both the Halloween Carnival and later her friend's party.

  • Full House: S7E5: Fast Friends (Back To School Series)
    Hey Tanner Fans,
Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.
Today as part of the Full House Back To School Series I covered S7E5: Fast Friends, which aired on October 12, 1993.
In this episode Stephanie meets new friends, but soon feels pressured to smoke. Jesse and Joey host a radio show called Teen Talk; or is it Yakkin' With Youth?
Also in this episode we meet two new characters Mickey and Gia. Mickey is a character that takes Stephanie under her wing when it comes to how to operate the hand dryer in the decrepit school bathroom as well as how to apply lip liner. Sadly, Mickey only has a two episode arc and then we never see her again.
Gia on the other hand is here to stay, she comes off pushy and abbrasive when it comes to peer pressure, practically forcing a cigarette in to Stephanie's mouth. When it appears Mickey would rather spark up with Gia and her crew than follow our golden angel Stephanie to class, Stephanie wonders if her friendship was all for pity as the girls call Stephanie a dweeb all laugh and laugh (including Mickey).
Stephanie goes on the hunt for advice on whether Mickey's friendship is worth lighting up for or to save her lungs and blaze her own trail of independence. she adapts an alias as she calls into Jesse and Joey's radio show and the guys and Dj, Steve and Kimmy give what advice they can in regards to smoking.
Finding no real help there to her questions and plaguing dilemma, Stephanie turns to her father who tells her to listen to her heart and she'll know the right thing to do.
Facing off with Gia, Stephanie finally gains some confidence as she goes toe to toe in the insult war against Gia and wins but not before Gia and her two other cronies call Stephanie a scrub (really, we're back to that now?)
Do these girls know the three blondes from DJ's junior high days? Is this the new Scrub Club as I dubbed the other mean girls in Back To School Blues?
In the end Mickey still wants to hang with Stephanie and she agrees to cut down on the smokes. Yay!
Join me next week for the last entry in the Full House Back To School Series S8E2: Breaking Away, which aired on October 4, 1994.
In this episode Rebecca and Jesse are apprehensive about their twin boys attending preschool. Stephanie becomes rebellious due to a friend's influence.
