On September 30, 2004 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, officers received a call from a college student who said she was worried about her friend, Brittany Phillips, who hadn’t been to class in days. The police went to conduct a welfare check on Brittany, but what they found was a scene from a nightmare. Officers found the raped and strangled body Brittany Phillips, lying on the floor beside her bed in her second story apartment. She had been dead for three days.

On Friday September 28, 1984, Jenipher Gilbert, a 7th grader at Carl Albert Junior High School, attended the school’s football game like students across the state do every Friday night during the fall. After the football game, between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., three witnesses saw Jenipher being forced into a yellow vehicle. She would never be seen alive again.
