Matthew and Sarbjit enlist the help of University of Edinburgh Professor of Political Science Aisla Henderson for a master class in Scottish Politics.
Henderson heads the Scottish Election Study, co-directs the Future of England Survey, and serves as deputy chair of the Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland for local and Holyrood (Scottish Government) elections, as well as commissioner on the Boundary Commission for Scotland for the Westminster elections.
They examine the current state of the Scottish political parties, the two dominant Scottish political axes, and the parties' relations with Westminster.
Also on the agenda:
How Scotland's path to independence compares to Quebec (and Texas).
Henderson's work on the boundary commission (the UK's non-political redistricting process).
