Intended Chakra: Throat Chakra

This is a meditation to activate, balance, clear, and heal your Throat Chakra.
The throat chakra is located at the base of the throat, is represented by the element of SOUND, shown as a pure, bright, BLUE color and is responsible for communication, self-expression, and the ability to speak one’s personal truth.
The throat chakra plays an essential role in communication, creativity, and self-expression.
When there’s an imbalance in this chakra, you may notice you have a harder time communicating effectively.
An overactive throat chakra manifests as a Dominating voice and in interrupting conversations; the inability to listen; propensity for gossip
An underactive throat chakra manifests as a Fear of speaking; introversion, excessive shyness; a small, weak voice; tone deafness, and poor rhythm
Emotionally, those with throat chakra imbalances may be highly critical of themselves and others.
Physical symptoms of an imbalanced throat chakra may include
* a raspy or chronically sore throat
* mouth ulcers
* gum disease
* laryngitis
* thyroid challenges

Let us begin our journey to a balanced and healthy throat chakra.
Start by getting yourself into a comfortable position either seated on the floor cross legged, in a chair with your back straight, both feet flat on the floor, or lying down on your back.
Take a deep breath, inhale and hold.
As you exhale float your eyes closed.
Take two more deep breaths, filling the belly then the lungs.
Inhale, 2 3 4…
Exhale, 2 3 4…
Inhale 2, 3, 4…
Exhale, 2 3 4…
Now allow you’re breathing to return to its normal cadence and rhythm… not forced or rushed, just smooth and calm.
Actively relax your muscles, beginning with your feet.
Relax your ankles…
Relax your calves, your knees, your thighs…
Relax the muscles in your stomach
Continue breathing…
Relax your hands…
Your arms, your shoulders…
Relax your neck, your jaw, your tongue…
Relax your cheeks, your eyes, your forehead.
As you continue to breathe, bring your attention to the area along your spine just right at your throat in the neck area.
Imagine a dim Blue ball of light spinning at the base of your throat .
Imagine with each breath you take, the ball of light pulsates.
With each inhale, the light intensifies, a refreshing, brilliant, bright Blue…
On each exhale, the light softens slightly…
Visualize this pulsing blue light as you continue to breathe.
As the Blue light envelopes you like a refreshing cool wave or water, imagine that it makes you feel…
Heard, accepted, validated by yourself and others.
Let the pulsing blue ball of light remind you are creative, truthful, expressive, and pure
Like a fresh pool of water after cool spring rain.
Continue breathing, visualizing your pulsing Blue spinning ball of light right at your throat center with each breath.
And say to yourself:
* I express my creativity with ease and joy.
* I speak my truth.
* I do no harm with my words.
* I listen to my own inner knowing.
* I let my voice be heard.
* I speak with authenticity, grace, and courage.
Take this re-newed sense of truth and validation with you throughout your day.
Take your time and continue breathing and visualizing your Blue ball of light… and be heard.
