Yesterday on Oilersnation Everyday, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin worked their way through Frank Seravalli's top 50 free agents for the summer. The two of them discussed names like Scott Mayfield (New York Islanders), Connor Brown (Washington Capitals) and Damon Severson (New Jersey Devils). However, the Oilers have limited cap space available so which players outside of the top 50 could they be looking at on a bargain deal? On today's show, Tyler and Liam take a look outside the top 50 group to see which players could be available.

The NHL is just over a month away from the free agency window opening. 

The Edmonton Oilers first order of business will be the resign upcoming free agents like Evan Bouchard, Ryan McLeod and potentially Nick Bjugstad. After that, they will look to upgrade their roster in the free agent pool, but who are some likely targets? Today Sherwood Ford the Giant off-season question is, could the Edmonton Oilers buy out a player this summer? There aren't many options for the Oilers to buy out over the offseason but there is potential one player that could find himself as an unexpected free agent. 

Additionally, they will give their regular season and playoff grade to Mattias Ekholm. Ekholm impacted the Oilers in a huge way when acquired from the Nashville Predators for Tyson Barrie. One thing that became apparent during the Edmonton Oilers 2022-23 playoff run was that the blueline may need more help.

With Darnell Nurse, Brett Kulak and Mattias Ekholm locked up long-term, and Evan Bouchard soon to be, Ken Holland may look to make upgrades in the other positions. Throughout today's show, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will dive into some options that Holland may have this summer. Could Cody Ceci be out of the door? Is it time to move on from Philip Broberg? What free agents are even available? They will answer those questions on today's show.

Welcome to day three of the Edmonton Oilers off-season. It is somewhere this city did not expect to be at this point, but here we are.

Today on Oilersnation Everyday, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin begin their season grades with the first being Evan Bouchard. Bouchard had an intriguing season with expectations high at the start of the season. It did not go exactly as planned for the young defenceman; however, Bouchard managed to find his groove eventually and become a top defenceman on this team. 

Also on the show, big news broke last night that the residents of Tempe voted against a new arena for the Arizona Coyotes. The vote essentially puts the Coyote's time in Arizona to an end. What is next for that organization? The guys will take a look into options for the franchise and what the team and league had to say about the vote.

The Edmonton Oilers season came to an end prematurely on Sunday night, when they fell 5-2 to the Vegas Golden Knights. It was a disappointing end for a team that had Stanley Cup aspirations. 

Yesterday, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin dove into everything that went down at Rogers Place in game six, with former NHLer Shawn Belle. Additionally, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joined them to discuss some possible changes that could come this summer.

The Edmonton Oilers season came to an end last night. After holding a 2-1 lead after 60 minutes, the Vegas Golden Knights fought back into the game, scoring four unanswered goals to win 5-2. 

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will look at what went down at Rogers Place last night. Both guys were in attendance for game six, so they will discuss everything from the vibes around the rink to the action on the ice. In 1:29 minute on Friday night, the Edmonton Oilers allowed the Vegas Golden Knights to score three goals and take the lead in game five. From there, the Oilers could not claw their way back into the game and are now down 3-2 in the series.

Tempers got high in game four between the Edmonton Oilers and the Vegas Golden Knights, which resulted in a defenceman from each team getting suspended. Alex Pietrangelo received a one-game suspension for his slash on Leon Draisaitl, and Darnell Nurse got the same punishment for an instigator penalty. Somehow the NHL Department of player safety determined that they were equal punishment. Let us know your thoughts on the decision by the league.
