"Well, the show must go on!" - a comedy by Martine was due to run at Garter Lane in April, but like thousands of other productions the world over, it's been postponed due to Covid19. However Martine is confident that it will see the light of day in the not-too-distant future, and in the meantime she says the cast and crew at Stage Coach have been rehearsing online

The Covid19 Information video was made by students at the school to show how young people can play their part in flattening the curve. It's on YouTube and all the Mount Sion Choir social channels. Mary spoke to teacher Colette Kearney,

German native Petra is very active in the arts locally. Her latest venture is a play she's written with a youth theatre group in Germany. She hopes to tour it there, before taking it to Ghana and then Ireland.

"Gabriella" is Caragh's fifth novel and has been endorsed by author Jilly Cooper. She plans to do a signing at The Book Centre in Waterford between 12pm and 2pm on Friday March 21st. Ahead of that, she chatted to Mary "On the Fringe."

The specially commissioned piece came about through the launch by the restaurant of a competition during the Imagine Arts Festival. Everetts chose a piece by Anne McDonnell to hang in the restaurant, and Mary went to the event.

The stage musical runs at Theatre Royal from March 10th to 14th. Ahead of that, Director David Hennessy and Mojo Murphy, who plays Dave, joined Mary "On the Fringe."

SnaG runs until St Patrick's Day. It encourages everyone young and old, and with all levels of Irish, to give the Ianguage a go. Máire Seo Breathnach, Irish Language Officer with Waterford Council and Tracy McEneaney of Waterford Libraries had all the details.

Nicola, a well known Waterford actor, wrote this play which will be staged at Garter Lane on March 20th and 21st. Directed by Ben Quinlan, it tells the story of a group of school friends who meet at different stages of their lives.

This initiative marks the beginning of a collaboration between Waterford Lions Club and the BA (Hons) Music programme at WIT. The bursary was created as an acknowledgement of the contribution of the O'Carroll family and particularly Dr. Kevin O'Carroll to the Waterford Lions Club Christmas Carol Concert for the past 30 years. The award includes a bespoke trophy based on a design by composer and musician Fintan O'Carroll and a bursary of €500. The inaugral recipient was Luke Donnelly. Mary was joined by Luke, along with Tony Ruane from The Lions Club and Dr Hazel Farrell from WIT .

Gar Campion, a character created by Tony Kelly, is "The Hurler." He's already appeared on screen and now audiences are invited to see Gar on stage at Garter Lane from March 5th to 7th. Tony collaborated with playwright Pat Daly for this production, which is under the direction of Jim Nolan. Jim and and Tony joined Mary in studio.
