WFFA has been screening films for many years in Waterford, with Garter Lane being its home for the past while. It's often a chance for local people to see non-mainstream movies that would otherwise require a trip to Cork or Dublin to see. Jenny gives the run down of this year's schedule.

Tramore-based Ronan wrote the play through his production company Broken Crow. "Blackwater Babble" is directed by Waterford's Joe Meagher and stars Cork actors Gary Murphy and John McCarthy. It comes to St Michael's Ballyduff on January 24th, and Garter Lane Arts Centre on February 1st. Ronan told Mary what the play is all about.

The gala ceremony takes place at Theatre Royal on February 2nd, and will celebrate the arts in Waterford City and County across various award categories. There will also be plenty of music and entertainment on the night. Editor and Deputy Editor of the Waterford News and Star, Mary Frances Ryan and Dermot Keyes joined Mary "On the Fringe."

It runs at Garter Lane Arts Centre until January 18th, and was put together by students at De La Salle College, Waterpark College, St Angela's Ursuline and Newtown School. Organisers Sandra Kelly and Derek Corcoran joined Mary in studio to talk about how it all came about.

27 students from schools around Waterford have been involved in the mentoring programme since September. Their play "Not a Session" will be staged at Theatre Royal on Thursday and Friday, January 16th and 17th. Theatre Manager Mary Boland joined Mary in studio, along with three of the students involved.

Colligan-based Clodagh was honoured with the Clarissa Louard Award before Christmas. She also has two new poems on the globally-renowned Poetry Foundation's website. She read those poems during her interview "On the Fringe."

Fintan had been a member of a number of writers' groups, as well as being a journalist, published author and poet. He says Compass Writers covers different types of writing from poetry to essays to flash fiction. He discuss the new anthology "Towards Words and Unending Depth."

Seán will be the first Irish person to attend the Llano Earth Art Fest in Texas this coming March. He joined Mary in studio to discuss what it's all about, and what it means to be attending.

Declan has been on the music scene since the late nineties and has been involved in many projects since. He discusses what got him interested in songwriting, the success of his single "Galileo" and what people can expect at his upcoming gig.

This is A O'Connor's 14th published book, and it looks at the life of Irish revolutionary Michael Collins. He talks to Mary about the legacy of Collins and the impact he's had both during his own lifetime and afterwards.
