February 26, 2020A Blue Plaque will be erected in honour of The Daly Sisters for International Women's DayThis year the Women's Centre is celebrating 25 years working with women in Waterford with a number of events from the 3rd-8th March. One of the events is the dedication of a Civic Trust Blue Plaque to the Daly family who provided a café for homeless men at number 5 Arundel Lane from 1911 - 1982. When attempts to evict the sisters Mai and Debbie were made in 1971 the Waterford community came out to support and stop the eviction of the sisters.
