This year the Women's Centre is celebrating 25 years working with women in Waterford with a number of events from the 3rd-8th March. One of the events is the dedication of a Civic Trust Blue Plaque to the Daly family who provided a café for homeless men at number 5 Arundel Lane from 1911 - 1982. When attempts to evict the sisters Mai and Debbie were made in 1971 the Waterford community came out to support and stop the eviction of the sisters. Mary was joined in studio by Breda Murphy of the Waterford Women's Centre, Breda Freyne, a neice of the Daly Sisters, and Eleanor Murphy of The Women's Centre History Project.

Through this initiative, local artists are displaying their work at the Research and Innovation hub, based at WIT's West Campus of Carriganore. There's an open afternoon on Saturday February 22nd between 3pm and 6pm, where members of the public an view the artwork. You can book through eventbrite. The band consists of Donal Rogers, Ellie Turner, Eliza Marshall and Joe Danks who will be taking to the stage at Garter Lane on Thursday February 20th with a multitude of instruments. Donal chatted to Mary ahead of that.

Waterford native Mulcahy was a key figure in the War of Independence, and as part of a series of talks organised by Waterford Council, a number of speakers will talk about his significance at the Large Room in City Hall Waterford on February 22nd. This play was co-written by Rose and Pat Nolan and runs at Theatre Royal on February 27th. It tells the story of Tom and Trish who have celebrated their Silver Wedding Anniversary. But what happens when he wakes up with a strange woman beside him and she tells him she’s his wife? What does Trish do when she realises the person she loves is losing his mind? Rose chats to Mary

The inaugural Copper Coast Trad Fest will happen in four villages along the Copper Coast from April 17th to 19th. Ahead of its launch in March, organiser Áine McCarthy Kent outlined to Mary why she wanted to run it.

Martina has been writing "Still We Sing" for the past three years under the mentorship of Jim Nolan. With the backing of Rigout Productions, the play will have a test reading on stage at Theatre Royal at 6pm Wednesday February 12th.

"A Wing and a Dare" will be staged at Ballyduff Community Hall on February 7th and 8th. Organiser Helen Millea and 6th class pupils James Lye and Eve Kavanagh joined Mary in studio to give the details.

Meath born Pat is a self-taught classical guitarist, who has produced three albums, his most recent being "Ophelia." He will perform at Theatre Royal on February 22nd. Ahead of that he joined Mary "On the Fringe" to chat about his career and life in general, and to play one of his compositions live in studio.

Thomas has been living in Cork for a number of years and is a multi-award winning poet. He will be joined by musicians Jazzabel at the upcoming Spokes event in Phil Grimes pub on Friday January 31st. Ahead of that, he chatted to Mary "On the Fringe."
