Becoming a well rounded, honorable, and mature man is no easy task. Doing it without a father figure or proper role model is nearly impossible. Yet many of us find ourselves in this predicament and we choose Uncle Sam to be our defacto father figure. Which can lead to disaster. In the Infantry this phenomenon is known as the "Lost Boys" mentality. A rag tag group of young men, desperately trying to emulate and mimic what they think being a man is.
