We’ve all experienced anxiety at some point in our lives. For some of us it’s chronic and for others it may be more situational. But right now, with the outbreak of COVID-19, there is no denying that our collective anxiety is at an all-time high. According to Dr. Ellen Vora, you can minimize your anxiety naturally, no matter where you fall on the spectrum.
Having graduated from Columbia University medical school and Yale University undergrad, Dr. Vora is a board-certified psychiatrist, acupuncturist, and yoga teacher specializing in depression, anxiety, insomnia, women’s mental health, adult ADHD, autoimmunity and digestive issues.
While in medical school, Ellen experienced mental health challenges but wasn’t satisfied with the solutions that were offered to her. Feeling as if she was being treated as a collection of ailments rather than a whole person, Ellen went on to develop a compassionate and functional medicine approach to mental health which addresses the root problem rather than automatically prescribing medication to suppress symptoms.
Now running her own holistic psychiatry practice in New York, Ellen shares how to better cope with anxiety by managing blood sugar, tools to connect to your intuition, how to avoid diet dogma (and listen to your body!), ways to eradicate stress during the Coronavirus pandemic, and so much more!
You’ll feel empowered to implement lifestyle shifts to calm your nervous system and reduce anxiety right now.
