  • 112. Supporting Others in Times of Need
I remember being a new mom and feeling so alone.
When you experience life situations, whether becoming new parents, going through illness, recovering from a surgery, you’re not always sure who to turn to and you don’t want to burden others. Sometimes you need a lot. Other times, you just need a reminder that we’re in this together.
This episode shares one of my favorite, simple tips to be there for others in their times of need.
Your One Bold Move: Remind someone you care about that they’re not alone. Through cheering on others, you can also find your own strength, too.

  • 111. The Power of You (Building Your Power at Work)
When do you feel most powerful?
Power can have a negative connotation, but it's how you're able to get things done. When you embrace your power, you can truly serve others and achieve results.
This episode walks through three different types of power and how you can build your power in an organization. I also share a reminder about the one power you have, even if you're brand new in your career or role.
Your One Bold Move: Use the power you have in your organization and spend time developing relationships and learning to build your power even further.

  • 109. Fine...For Now
I’ve had many conversations with many women over time who share that they're not in their dream job, but it’s fine “for now.” Often, these are working mothers who are figuring out how to make everything work for their careers and their families. Though I don’t think any of these women are settling per se, I can’t help but think what our world might be like if all of these women could be in roles that use their strengths and bring them joy, and don’t require them to compromise joy at home. That’s what I am working toward—a world where you can love your career and love your family and be great at both.
This episode provides tips on what you can do if you’re in this situation, and what I learned about this from my own experiences.
Your One Bold Move: Don’t let “for now” become “forever.” You have too many strengths to settle for anything less than your best self.

  • 108. Anticipatory Worry
In the times that we’re in, it can be hard not to worry about something. After all, this year has shown us that many of our biggest worries have come to fruition.
Reports of anticipatory anxiety have increased, when your brain is in overdrive thinking about all of the things that could go wrong. Some types of anticipatory anxiety are okay, like when you’re preparing for a job interview or a big trip. It’s when this starts to take over your everyday feelings, it can become unhealthy.
This episode provides five tips to overcome and work through these kinds of worries.
Your One Bold Move: Try these strategies to work through any worries you have. Remember to be kind to yourself as you do. Most importantly if these strategies aren’t working for you, do consult with a medical professional. Asking for help is a bold move and sign of strength.

  • 107. Remote Onboarding
Onboarding is a process to acclimate your new employees to the work expectations and help integrate them into the office culture. This is already an important and challenging process for most organizations. It gets even more complicated and requires more effort when you’re doing this all remotely—and a positive remote onboarding process is still possible.
Research has shown fostering a positive experience during recruitment and onboarding is key to employee retention.
This episode provides tips to create a remote onboarding experience that helps employees feel connected and motivated.
Your One Bold Move: Proactively create an onboarding process to help welcome new staff, build your culture, and benefit your team and you.

  • 105. Bloom
Welcome back to Season Two of One Bold Move A Day!
While we were preparing for the new season, I’ve been working on my plant mom skills. I’ve been watching an orchid that had died over the summer prepare to flower again. It’s not going exactly as I planned, though.
I realized there was learning in this for us, too, and this episode provides the reminder we all need to pause and celebrate progress.
    Your One Bold Move: Bloom.
