This week I get to interview the Founder and Executive Director of the Blind Institute of Technology Mike Hess.  Mike has built a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce teh high unemployment rate among the blind and visually impaired.  Mike has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry doing everything from project management, business analysis, product development and management.  We discuss his own struggles finding work in the tech industry as a blind man.  What the biggest barrier to entry for those in the BVI community is to the work force.  Why now is the perfect time to tap the most underserved section of our society.  We have an amazing conversation you are not going to want to miss.

This week I get to interview Katie Hillary.  Katie is a Managing Director of National Accounts at Insight Global.  In this episode we discuss the dangers of imposter syndrome.  Imposter syndrome is defined as doubting your abilities and feeling like a fraud.  We discuss how imposter syndrome effects everyone and some ways to cope with it.  

This week I get to interview Alexa Roberds from Insight Global.  Alexa is a super successful Account Manager at one of the largest staffing companies in the US.  On top of that she is the Mom to 3 kids under 5 years old.  We talk about how to use perspective when prioritizing your time.  We also discuss how to find joy in what you do during the day.  And ultimately Alexa teaches me how to not just do work with people but to do life with them.

This week I get to interview Dr. Francie Brohammer.  Dr. Brohammer has degrees from Notre Dame and University of California Irvine.  She is currently the Chief Resident at UC Irvine Health's Department of Psychiatry.  She is a Fello at the Lenonine Forum, and the American Psychiatric Association.  Francie and I discuss how to address and talk about mental health in the work place.  However our conversation really lays out the way to truly listen to someone and how that listening can really help them when the are struggling with mental wellness.

In this episode I get to speak with Zac Funderburk.  Zac is currently getting his Masters Degree at Dallas Baptist University.  While being a college student and founded and is the host of the wildly popular podcast "Next Generation Leader Podcast".  Zac has interviewed everyone from Senators, Governors, Authors and CEOs.  He interviews these leaders with the perspective of a young person.  So that lead me to ask Zac, "How do you lead as a young person?"
