It is estimated that more than 80% of Americans will experience an episode of low back pain at some time in their lives, with total annual costs estimated at $100 billion. What are some important questions to ask patients regarding their low back pain? Are there any red flag symptoms that patients may have which would alert us to a potentially serious cause for their back pain?
