Enter Asia Mobiliti, a mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions provider that’s trying to make urban mobility more intelligent.
From their trial of Trek Rides, an on-demand transit service that connects passengers with shared vehicles to plug the last mile gap, to their work with Airport Coach and RapidKL, to help making existing fleets more intelligent, and super apps such as Smart Selangor and AirAsia Digital (who is also an investor), Asia Mobiliti wants to plug the first and last mile gap, here and across the developing world.
Fueled by a recent funding round of around RM5 million, reportedly valuing the company at close to RM50 million, we speak with Ramachandran Muniandy, CEO and Co-Founder of Asia Mobiliti, to get a better understanding of what all these tech buzzwords look like when applied to the real world, what else they’re working on, and the business potential of this venture.
