We’ve established that the **fruit of the Spirit is one**—**LOVE**—and that joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are its characteristics. Scripture doesn’t suggest we **wait for love to appear** in our lives; instead, **we are commanded to pursue it**. Walking with the Holy Spirit leads us to **actively cultivate and express love** in all that we do. 

As we prepare to enter **21 Days of Abiding in Christ**, this is what we are preparing for—to let the **Holy Spirit** cultivate love in us, so that it overflows to the world around us. **Nothing is greater than love!**

Just as a healthy tree produces good fruit and a bad tree produces bad fruit, the evidence of our spiritual condition is revealed in what we produce in our lives.

God's desire is for each of us to become healthy trees, bearing the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Through salvation in Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, we are transformed from the inside out, growing in godly character and reflecting His nature to the world.
