Welcome back to Open the Voice Gate! Case (https://twitter.com/_inyourcase) and Mike (https://twitter.com/fujiiheya) are back with an update on the comings and goings of Dragongate.
It’s the second to the last stop before DG’s big November, and Case and Mike are back to talk all about it. Dragongate was back in their friendly confines of Kobe Sambo Hall on 10/17 with a show that started to build up Kobe World Pro Wrestling Festival, finish the build for Gate of Destiny, and led to more questions being raised about Team Boku, Dia Inferno, and More. As well, the guys talk in depth about the opener, which is free on YouTube (https://youtu.be/TDjyEwnixxg?t=458), featuring Class of 2020 members Kento Kobune, Taketo Kamei and Madoka Kikuta as they faced off with Dragongate Generation members Ben-K, and the Open the Twin Gate champions Jason Lee & Kota Minoura.
After that they ran down the upcoming 20th Anniversary Homecoming for Naruki Doi in Nara on the 25th, and ran down the Gate of Destiny uploads from 2013 until 2018, talking about their favorite things on those shows!

2012 in DGUSA begins with “Open the Golden Gate 2012” in Los Angeles at the Westin Airport Hotel on 1/27/2012 and Case and Mike are here to talk all about it!
There’s some housecleaning that’s to be done first as they close out 2011 by talking about the Wrestling Observer Newsletter awards for 2011 and their personal top ten matches from DGUSA & the Dragon System in 2011.
After that, it’s time to go through everything that led up to this 2012 DGUSA kickoff! Blood Warriors and Junction Three’s war is coming to a close with a couple of big place setting events right before their Loser Must Disband match. There’s this random kid that Ultimo trained that showed up at Wrestle Kingdom to challenge Hiroshi Tanahashi. And what’s this thing about a DGUSA/Evolve Merger and saying Farewell to the Arena?
After all of that, it’s time to review Open the Golden Gate! Low-Ki makes his DGUSA debut against BXB Hulk in the opener and the Young Bucks make their return in LA! Quite possibly one of the only good table matches in history happens as AR Fox renews his rivalry against Sami Callihan and an incredible United Gate match between the Spiked Mohicans and Masaaki Mochizuki & Jimmy Susumu main events DGUSA’s west coast premiere!
2012 news begins at 00:22:43 and the show review begins at 00:50:27 this episode.

The marathon that is DGUSA’s 2011 finally comes to a close on this episode with Freedom Fight 2011, from B.B. King’s Blues Bar and Grill in Manhattan, New York on 11/13/2011!
Before Case and Mike get into the show, they take a look around at how the rest of the wrestling world ended 2011, including Don Fujii in the World Tag League 2011, Final Battle 2011, and Chikara’s first iPPV.
Then it’s time to go to New York for Freedom Fight 2011. Johnny Gargano finally gets his Open the Freedom Gate shot at YAMATO, Akira Tozawa and BXB Hulk bring their tag team to face the Ronin team of Chuck Taylor and Rich Swann, and PAC vs Ricochet’s epic feud of 2011 concludes its US leg. None of those main evented this show. Instead an Extreme Warfare match with the D.U.F. going up against AR Fox, Sabu and Jon Davis did. Yeah, we know.
Concluding the show, we look at how Dragon Gate Japan concluded their year, with the huge Gate of Destiny and Final Gate 2011 shows.
The show review is from 00:17:59 to 01:13:18.

Welcome back to Open the Voice Gate! Case (https://twitter.com/_inyourcase) and Mike (https://twitter.com/fujiiheya) are back with an update on the comings and goings of Dragongate.
It was a busy week this week in Dragongate with a double header in Fukuoka and a huge Korakuen Hall show, and they’re back to talk about it. The Class of 2020 is moving up, and Case and Mike take some time to talk about the futures of Kento Kobune, Taketo Kamei and Madoka Kikuta. Team Boku is a thing and OTVG discovers what it is to be boku.
As well, the huge Korakuen Hall show on 10/7 with both the reveal of the Yellow Demon Mask and the sudden arrival of Dia Inferno. They take some time to discuss the conspiracy of who’s the new masked monster, and Mike has a mini victory lap. Concluding the show, they look ahead to this weekend’s show in Kyoto and how Dragongate’s biggest month of its existence is shaping up in November!

The final weekend for DGUSA’s 2011 stops by the former ECW Arena for Bushido 2011: Code of the Warrior on 11/12/2011 in Philadelphia! It’s DGUSA’s final show both at the Asylum Arena and in Philadelphia with two big title matches to send off their time in the most famous indie wrestling arena in the western hemisphere!
There’s a ton of interesting events that play into DGUSA’s 2011 finale weekend, so Case and Mike dip into the timeline to talk about the true beginning of Peak PWG, AAW shows, the Jeff Peterson Cup 2011, taping of the infamous Wrestling Retribution Project, a check into see some old friends in FCW, an uniquely insane Teddy Hart interview. CZW and Chikara had a lot of influence in how this weekend turned out for DGUSA, so they talk about their big shows as well.
YAMATO defending the Open the Freedom Gate championship against Chuck Taylor in a match that will affect the remainder of DGUSA and D.U.F’s challenge of the Open the United Gate champions Spiked Mohicans are the double main event for DGUSA’s farewell to the arena. As well, Bushido features a Case favorite of PAC vs Brodie Lee, Rich Swann vs Akira Tozawa and the perplexing usage of Sabu continues as he faces Pinkie Sanchez in a Street Fight!

We finish off Storm Gate and September in Dragongate with a review of the 9/26 show from DG’s home base of Kobe Sambo Hall! It’s the redebut of Ryotsu Shimizu, KAI’s first match in R.E.D., the Dream Gate match at Gate of Destiny is made and Ultimo has a friend that he’s going to bring to that show as well as the big topics from this show.
After that, Case and Mike preview the 10/4 doubleshot in Acros Fukuoka and the 10/7 show at Korakuen Hall, give their last thoughts and predictions on the Yellow Demon Mask and how some folks we haven’t seen in Japan in a while might play into this. Finishing out the show, Case attempts to get Mike in trouble with talk comparing CIMA with Yoshiaki Fujiwara and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame.

It’s FINALLY time for DGUSA’s last triple-shot of 2011 and it brings us to the Northeast for Revolt 2011 at the Wonderland Ballroom in Melrose, Massachusetts on 11/11/2011!
Before they get into DGUSA, Case and Mike talk about Dragon Gate’s Fall of 2011, including Masaaki Mochizuki’s Dream Gate title defense against Akira Tozawa, a No Ropes match, the first Loser is Expelled Match of Blood Warriors vs Junction Three, and an insane Gate of Destiny 2011 card. As well, they speak about Dragon Gate: UK for a moment before wrapping up the timeline with the newswire notes leading up to the DGUSA weekend.
Then it’s time for Revolt 2011, a show featuring the US debut of the No Ropes match as BXB Hulk makes his DGUSA return facing his long time rival YAMATO! The show also features a very rare one-on-one match of Akira Tozawa vs Masato Yoshino, as well as Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano being forced to team-up before their Freedom Gate matches versus the Blood Warriors team of CIMA and Brodie Lee. Other things happening on this show is a High Flyers edition of The FRAY! that features Ricochet, PAC, AR Fox, Uhaa Nation & Sabu and the American Reveal of Good Song Tozawa!

Welcome back to Open the Voice Gate! Case (https://twitter.com/_inyourcase) and Mike (https://twitter.com/fujiiheya) are back with an update on the comings and goings of Dragongate.
We are left in the wake of Dragongate’s first big show of the year, Dangerous Gate 2020 from Tokyo Ota City Gymnasium on 9/21/2020, and we break down the show every way possible. Who came out as the loser of the Six Way Cage match, and how is it going to play into the rest of 2020? How is the title landscape after three championship matches? Did Kzy go 1-1 with Naruki Doi or did Mr. Ota-ku defend “his” building?
After a lengthy review, Case and Mike look ahead to the rest of September with their final televised show of the month back in the friendly confines of Kobe Sambo Hall and try to figure out October’s schedule leading into the next big month of November!

DGUSA is back in Milwaukee with Way of the Ronin 2011 on 9/11/2011 from the Miramar Theater with one of the more bizarre entries in the history of Dragon Gate USA. Before getting into the show, Case and Mike talk about other big events happening in the last summer and fall 2011, including the All Together shows in Japan, PWG Battle of Los Angeles 2011, and Ring of Honor’s Death Before Dishonor IX.
After that, it’s time for Way of the Ronin 2011, a show laden with lighting issues, Sabu, microphones not working, awkward scramble matches, and perhaps the most bizarre segment in DGUSA history opening up the iPPV. It’s not all absurdity, as event features a huge Title vs Title main event of the Spiked Mohicans of CIMA and Ricochet putting the Open the Twin Gate belts up against the Open the United Gate belts held by Masato Yoshino and PAC, Naruki Doi vs Johnny Gargano & Akira Tozawa vs Jon Davis.
