Following, proclaiming, and loving like Jesus has always evoked opposition. And especially from fellow followers of Jesus! St. Paul makes it abundantly clear in his letter to the Thessalonians. St. Paul reminds his readers that the very first thing that causes opposition is speaking in a fashion of pleasing God above pleasing people. This takes real-world practice and plenty of courage.
