We'll talk about having hard conversations, candor, and direct honesty at all times, what it requires, and we'll also share some of our own examples.

Our daughters are the stars in this episode! We brought back our regular guest, Dr. J (Dr. Jason Kolber) and his daughter, Drew, as well as our own...Blake's daughter is Brielle, and Stacie's daughter is Jocelyn.
We took time to hear how they coped during the pandemic. This episode was recorded earlier, but their perspective can be applied more broadly to life as teens. Most of our conversation with them was inspiring and covered a lot of really interesting space.
It was refreshing to hear their telling of stories, what is important to them, and more. We hope you enjoy!

The book No Rules Rules: Netflix and the Culture of Reinvention is a book written in 2020 and is so much more relevant today than the author may have ever imagined.
We talk about honesty and accountability in the workplace, and specifically talk about some of the core things that were fostered in the work place by a mentor and friend who passed away recently, Tom Frank. He embodied so much related to a quality culture in the workplace, and a conversation like this wouldn't be complete if he were not acknowledged in this space.
Join us as we discuss modeling and reinvention in the workplace, and much, much more.
Check out a couple of the past episodes with Tom Frank as our special guest!

It's the one word that when used can create conflict. Blake and Stacie talk about genuine curiosity and the importance of asking why.
Tell me more. Can you explain that? These are sometimes met with defensiveness, or a threat. We dive into why and how to remain curious and thrive.
We also talk about curiosity with teenagers and how they process "why" differently.
Join us for this fun conversation about the why of asking why!
We dive into talk about passion. We talk about how we see it, and how it impacts their lives. We all know someone who seems to have found it early - you probably also know those who never find it! We take a moment to talk about personality types, where we find our passion, and how to embrace that journey!
We talk about jackhammers and hummingbirds and lots more!
We also talk about our re-branding to Optimized HX, some of the things that we considered for why we're doing it, and things that we have been going through personally and our careers.

Has the art of service in America been diminished to an obligatory expectation? What does it say about us as consumers when we're more concerned about what our tip amount says about us versus what it says about the service we received? How can we elevate service as consumers in this post-COVID world? As an expert in the service industry for over 25 years, listen to Tom discuss how we get back on track.

It's been said that common sense isn't so common anymore, and too often that seems to be the case. Everywhere we look there's a sign or a policy all because someone proved to be uncommon. In this episode, we are back with Tom Frank and his incredible storytelling about the instances in work where we can all related to those "really???" moments.
